Naturally Nora Cake and Frosting Mix Variety Pack (3 Cake Mixes, 3 Frosting Mixes)

Store mixes are just OK. My mother always made cakes from scratch and frosting. This cake mix tastes like homemade and we love them ...all of them. I am so excited to try the new ones coming out.Since I discovered these we have cupcakes in our house all the time. (No we are not fat) One cupcake is equivalent to 1/2 piece cake. I deplore store bought frosting in the can, always have. This frosting takes homemade. Do yourself a big favor and use REAL butter in the frosting instead of the artificial stuff. Makes all the difference in the world. Tastes just like Mom's.Kids will love the dots cake. They show up well s long as you do not over beat the batter. The sprinkles for the frosting being all natural, are a real plus. You don't have to buy your own to add. It is just a thing with me, I have to have sprinkles on my cupcakes!The chocolate is just yummy too! The frosting tastes kind of like old fashioned fudge to me. Side note, my Mom's dad was a farmer and they always ate lots of butter and whole milk. My dad's dad was farmer and ditto. 9 kids in mom's family and 4 in dad's. Of the total 13 kids, 3 have died and all were over 80. The remaining children are still alive are in their late 80's and 90's. It appears Butter and whole milk have not had a negative affect on them.Great cake mix and frosting mix. All natural and that is a wonderful thing.For those of you who have said the mix is not sweet enough, you can always add a little sugar! I think it is fine but have added extra sugar at times.

The concept of cake mixes with all natural ingredients was great and I was excited to try them. However, the product fell far short of my expectations. I made the yellow and Alot a dots cakes and frostings, carefully following the package instructions. My family who will eat anything refused to eat more than one bite. My daughter said that it tasted like a bad vegetable bread and not like a cake. The texture was heavy and the frosting had an alkaline-type aftertaste. For a much lower cost and superior finished product, I will make my own natural-ingredient cakes from scratch or accept the scary unnatural ingredients in commercial mixes.

The product is easy to use and tastes delicious. I agree that it's nearly as simple as baking from scratch, but the frostings are unique. I love the vegetable-based dots, and the cake and frosting are just sweet enough. A great gift idea, especially for a gal named Nora.

O.K. I admit I was skeptical when I ordered this, having had some organic foods in the past that tasted like cardboard, but I really just got sick of seeing "partially hydrogenated oil" in EVERYTHING i bought. I stopped making cupcakes for my daughter because I really didn't want her to eat the packaged brand and I couldn't find anything else.(Now the preservative of the year is TBHQ, when will food companies get a grip - nobody wants to give this junk to their kids) Well, Nora to the rescue. Not only did my daughter eat the whole piece of cake (normally she eats the frosting off and leaves the cake), but my husband said it was "good." He doesn't even normally eat sweets. I think the next time I might skip the "confetti-like" mix and just go with the yellow and chocolate mixes. Now I can make cupcakes to my heart's content and not have to make them from scratch. Will definitely buy again.

What do you give to friends whose kids have it all? Why, just the best, tastiest and totally natural cake, frosting and brownie mixes available. I wrapped a selection of these great mixes and gave them to neighbors and friends late on Christmas Day...when they didn't want to see any more sweets...and they thanked me for the chance to have something nutritious they could make together with their young girls. Nora, you saved the day once again... I even bought extra so my own family can have the very amazing Doubly Fudgy Brownies whenever we have that craving. And Amazon delivered everything in time for gifting...wow! Naturally Nora plus Amazon is a winning combination!

I took the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting to a friend's birthday party. Believe me, when my friends (all 60+, watching weight and very careful) all take seconds, this is a yummy cake. My favorite is the lots of dots one -- my grandchildren like the look and taste and have no idea that the colors come from vegetables.

I use these mixes mainly for cupcakes - they come out wonderfully, and honestly, all her cake and frosting mixes are delicious!They are a HUGE hit with my kids, and it's nice to know the ingredients are all natural and no UN-pronounceable chemicals!!Great job, Naturally Nora!!

We really like all the flavors, no artifial ingredients, great taste! All them have a marshmellow taste, even the brownies! We are baking at high alittude and Nora has directions on her website. On the frostings I recommend using less milk for a firmer frosting:)
