I bought this machine because I was tired of slicing chicken cutlets from breast and pre-sliced was twice the price., Doing the math this machine will pay for itself this summer just on chicken, beef and pork slicing. The machine comes with everything you need and sets up in one minute literally - all preassembled. Remove packing materials carefully including silicone blade protector and two small black top and bottom blade protectors. Wipe down the machine, but no need to super sterilize it especially if you wash your sliced meat pre and post slicing which you absolutely always should to avoid things like salmonella and cross contamination to other foods by touch. I prefer to use disposable latex gloves to avoid having to wash my hands a hundred times and damage my skin especially as I go from one ingredient to another. Made my first batch of chicken cutlets last night and it was an absolute breeze cutting my work time by 2/3rds - amazing!!! all I can say about that. Post use wiping and cleaning the machine is a bit of a chore and you need to be sure to either remove the blade carefully or clean it mounted carefully. It is razor sharp and will do you damage if careless. Net-net this machine is worth every penny and I highly recommend it for anyone who cooks often and has a practical use for it. I certainly do at least 4-5 times a week and this is a winner to slice anything. Overall relatively compact and easy to store.

Excellent slicer for a reasonable price

We bought this after lots of reading reviews and watching videos. We got it primarily to cut our homemade breads. For that It WORKS GREAT! With 2 different blades you can to meat as well but we haven't done that yet. For half the cost of the famous German hand crank type, this thing makes cutting perfect, adjustable thickness, pieces of bread easy and fast.Definitely recommend.

Great product, great price

Not quiet at all when running, but that could be the tiny plastic gears rubbing and making noise.I did not try using it on any food, I just turned it on, didn't like the loud noise and the flimsy plastic food press plate, then turned it off, put the guarding back on and returned it.

Works and cuts as advertised and I’m very happy with this product

We used to own restaurants and much of our home equipment is similar to what we used at the restaurants.This stain less steel slicer may nor be commercial grade, but it is the next best thing.Included are two blades. Once straight edge for slicing meat and the other is serrated. We made a fresh loaf of bread and I was able to slice to the thickness we prefer. I did have to cut the size of the loaf down just enough to get it to fit into the food carriage.I had a few chicken breasts I grilled and sliced those into deli sized slices. Just yesterday I sliced a fresh roast into very thin slices for grilling and making steak and cheese sandwiches!Where we have a food vacuum sealer, I can slice plenty ahead of time and freeze fresh for later.The only con is when you get down to the last few slices, the very end of the meat will not slice and leaves you with a small chunk of meat. Commercial slicers will do the same, just not quite as much.The blade adjustment provides a wide variety of thicknesses.The blade is easy to remove and, along with the other removeable parts, place in the dishwasher.We kept the carton that fits the second blade perfectly for safe storage.
