Feels like it could withstand a hurricane. It does record video and sound. Someone reviewed that it records only sound and no picture, that is a setting on the side switch. Perhaps the difficult to read “manual” is to blame for the wrong statement. Anyway, the only drawback is like someone else already mentioned is that the lens is pointing up when in the shirt pocket. Would be nice if the lens could be lowered more down instead of just straight out. Nothing else to mention since it just works and the battery seem to hold up pretty good. The microphone picks up sound quite nicely. At least for me well enough. I use it as a body cam when I travel. It is a nice camera and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Excellent Camera for the Money
I finally used this item and I thought it was odd that it should have come with a memory card and a way to charge it. But it came with a case for a memory card. Luckily I have extra cards and USB cords. I let it charge for 8 hrs and then set it to record. I came back to nothing. Just a bunch of random garbage files saved on my memory card. Either I got sent a return by mistake or this is a piece of junk. *Update: The company sent me a new one that had all the packaging and a SD card with usb cable. The device lit up. You just need to open the text file on the card to change the time date stamp and set the resolution. I set it to record and I let it run all weekend long. The picture quality is great. It recorded everything that triggered the motion sensor. After a weekend I had 70 2 minute clips and I am pretty happy with this. I give it 4 stars because the first one they sent was probably a return
