Buy 8K@60Hz HDMI Splitter 1 in 2 Out, 1x2 HDMI 2.1 Splitter Support 4K@120Hz, 1080P@240Hz VRR HDCP2.3 HDR HDR10 48Gbps EDID Dolby Atmos 7.1ch: Splitters - desertcart.com โ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases Review: Works splitting PS5 signal to monitor and capture card but โฆ - *Below is my initial review. Please read the end for my edit.* Thereโs a bunch of these types of splitters and a lot of them are upwards of $60-$80 which seems absurd. This one was the cheapest at $39 and has no reviews at the time of my purchase but I decided to give it a chance. I needed a splitter so I could split the signal from my PS5 to both a capture card (Elgato HD60S+) and to my 4K 144hz monitor. The Elgato does actually feed the HDMI signal to my monitor without a splitter but when it goes through the capture card, the quality is slightly worse and I canโt get VRR to work on my PS5. So that was the intended use for this splitter. After initially hooking it up I couldnโt get VRR to work but trying different setups I eventually got it working. Make sure to connect the HDMI cable from โoutput 1โ (output 2 didnโt work for me) straight to your monitor and select the EDID switch to โCopy 1โ. Output 2 goes to the capture card. This way I got VRR to work and have a clean 4K60 feed to my monitor. I believe it copies whatโs on output 1 so connect your best quality connection to that. The unit is extremely compact at about 3.5โ x 2โ. Itโs powered by USB-C which is always a plus but I do notice it gets a bit hot to the touch. Iโve used other splitters before and they all seem to generate heat but I generally havenโt had issues before and have used them for years so this seems normal. Time will tell how long this one will last but so far my first impressions are good. *EDIT* Okay, after my initial review everything looked okay. But when I went to do some game captures with the setting mentioned above, the quality of the recording was extremely washed out. If I switch the EDID switch to โcopy 2โ then the recording quality is back to normal, but then I donโt get VRR on my PS5 to monitor feed. The 4K60 quality is still there, just no VRR which I wouldโve liked. I believe that that specs of the monitors youโre connecting to need to be the same regarding resolution and possibly refresh rate and VRR capability when youโre copying the feed. My second monitor is only a 1080p 60hz with no VRR. Iโve read reviews of other splitters with possibly the same issue so I donโt think itโs just this splitter. If youโre looking for just a splitter and donโt care about getting VRR this switch still works great. You may need to buy the more expensive splitters to get better compatibility when splitting signals but who knows. Review: I am happy with my purchase. - It works very well, great value for the money. It is well built with a metal case, which I appreciate to add some heft to it so that the hdmi cables stay put. No signal degradation was observed, both audio and video was unaffected. I use this to hook up my PS3 to my TV and my capture card at the same time. It is easy to use, I left the setting switch to "auto" and did not have to make any changes. Mine came with the USB-C to USB-A power cable. Be aware that you need to provide it power by means of a usb-a port or a power adapter. I imagine a usb-c to usb-c cable would work as well, if you have it. Seems like all gadget manufacturers are switching to this usb-c power scheme, so be prepared with enough ports or a small power brick. I have a power adapter with 5 USB-A outputs, luckly I still have one port left open, ha!. I am happy with my purchase.

Great value great splitter
Great splitter, I'm using this for an Xbox to tv, monitor, and receiver. My receiver is only HDMI 2.0 and will only output 4k at 60fps, which isn't very common, so this was the solution. I can say it works perfectly outputting 4k at all times while also having true dolby going through my receiver. Incredibly easy to set up and whichever output has the best features just copy that with the switch and Voilรก.
