Faster than DPNs for sock knitting
I got my first set of these needles yesterday afternoon. I immediately casted on for a sock and by late evening I was almost ready to start the heel. Here are my honest thoughts about these for sock knitting. I am an avid sock knitter, and I knit top-down only. I know my pattern in my head and I'm a fast DPN knitter. It took me about 5 rows of 64 sts to get comfortable with these needles. I find that I hold the back needle with the points between my thumb and forefinger on each hand. This is similar to what I do with DPNs, so that wasn't anything new for me. I do believe that I knitted faster using these needles. I wish there was a fourth needle however. I prefer to leave the instep stitches on one separate needle when I'm knitting the gusset decreases. If I start at the back of the heel and knit to the point where I need to decrease, I would have to have a marker there to remind me and then knit half of the instep and then go to the second needle and knit to a second marker where I do a SSK decrease and then knit to the back center of the heel where my round begins. This may not make sense to you, but it is so much easier to do the gusset decreases with all your sts on 3 needles instead of 2 needles. I will buy a second set of these needles to use for sock knitting. I also knit many chemo hats and I currently use DPNs for the decreases around the crown of the hat. I doubt that I will use these needles for that purpose. The needles are expensive; however, they are slick which is tricky with tiny sock yarn for the first 3-4 rows. After that, I don't have any problems with sts falling off the needles like some folks say. I think I will like these needles better when I get a second set to use so I'll have 4 needles when doing the gussets of my socks. I have many Addi needles and I love them. I do like the fact that there is a blunt end as well as a rocket point on the other end of these needles. That comes in handle when knitting tiny sock yarn.I do not have any trouble using DPNs, and because I don't have issues, these seem to be fine. I like to learn new things and try new tools, so if you're like me, buy a set of these and give them a try. If you hate DPNs, you may love these, but I'm here to tell you that you will still have a bit of a learning curve dealing with the points of the needle that you are not using. If you don't like fiddling with 40" cables using the magic loop or two-at-a-time socks, you will love these needles. I think most folks don't spend enough time trying something new. It takes a while to get comfortable with anything new, so give these a shot. I think you'll like them as much as I do.

Fabulous alternative to circular
I love everything about these. It feels like knitting on circs but with less scooching of stitches, and when it's time to drop stitches it's not a problem because then they're just regular old DPNs. I did have an issue with one of the tips having a snag and I waited to do a review until I saw how the seller would handle it- five stars! I reached out to the contact info provided on Amazon, they responded within a day and put me in touch with there American affiliate (I'm in US), and American affiliate had a new super smooth needle to me within a week, and was pleasant to boot. Would absolutely buy from these guys again, and plan to buy more of these needles in other sizes. If you're on the fence, do it.

Better than losing stitches
I was going to use thicker than normal yarn on socks. This works. I will like them for sleeves too.

Game Changer
I am not a fan of traditional DPNs, but these things are awesome and just make me want to knit more socks and mitts.

Flexflip needles
I like the concept of these needles but they are taking me quite a while to get used to.

Not as convenient as I would have hoped.
For the money you can do better. Was trying to see if the needles were as life changing as I’d heard. Nope. Just another system to buy.

Love these! Double check sizes before ordering!
This was my second experience using flexible double pointed needles (I tried the OTHER brand last time) and it was so much more enjoyable with these Flexiflips! They are very comfortable to hold and don’t cause numbness in my hand while knitting socks like my long metal circulars. I really like that they have two different tips… a more blunt and a more pointy end so you can decide which works best for your yarn. It does take a little getting used to to find your rhythm and process with these, but once you get the hang of it you can fly through your knitting. The only thing I would say is to double check the mm sizing when you order the needles you want. The US needle sizes didn’t correspond correctly to the mm sizes (i.e. size US 1 was listed as 2.5mm or something, but a US size 1 is actually 2.25mm). By ordering the correct mm size, I got the size 1 needles I wanted and they were great!

Difficile à manipuler
Ces aiguilles sont conçues pour tricoter des bas, je n'ai trouvé aucun avantage car elles sont difficiles à utiliser car trop courtes selon moi.
