Does wireless mean that the headset is not attached to the PC?

The Headset connects to the PC via one USB 3 and one HDMI connector.   The HANDSETS/CONTROLLERS are connected to the PC wirelessly through BLUETOOTH and the headset sees and TRACKS the controllers VIA the WHITE LED's that light up on the controller and the two cameras mounted in the front of the headset. The same two cameras BTW also track your environment. This is how it knows where it is relative to everything else. WMR headsets do NOT require anything mounted to walls. 
Let me say this, if you have Steam, get SteamVR and then get an add-on called ReVive!  This will allow you to play MANY SteamVR titles that use Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive without paying so much.  I use my HP WMR headset to play Fallout4VR edition and it's pretty damned impressive..   Can't wait for SkyrimVR!

No not even close it's more like the anime dot hack if anything The Matrix in real life would be like putting on a Nervegear these just use side by side dual screens and wearing them basically as goggles and you're just wearing a monitor over your head. It's still not bad though but I wouldn't call it REAL virtual reality people argue it's another version of 3D which is probably the case for the money though the thing isn't bad I just bought one myself and expecting to get it June 5 - June 8 of 2018. I am not saying you will hate it but if anything I will say YES it's as close as you can get to the real The Matrix and I am sure they are already planning on using things like No Mans Sky to pull it off in a few years.

Does anyone know if this will work on a 3rd gen (ivy bridge) i5? i well exceed video card and ram requirements, just running an older cpu.
