Samsonite Advena Softside Expandable Luggage with Spinner Wheels, Cobalt Blue, Carry-On 20-Inch

I made the mistake of buying Basic Economy plane tickets. Sine I have never have never been on a commercial airline so this is all very new to me. I found out after the fact that Basic Economy has a lot of restrictions. I purchased a normal size carry-on in July to prepare for this flight thinking I could store it in the overhead bin. Not with Basic Economy. I have to check that in. I thought I had my personal carry-on bag picked out until I read the size dimensions requirement. Scratch that! So I began looking on line to see what I could find. Not much in that size. I finally order a cheap bag after spending several hours looking. I believe I looked again the next day and quite by accident I found this Samsonite Advena Travel Tote. I read all the reviews and I know Samsonite makes good products from experience and the dimensions were exactly what was specified by the Airlines. I purchased the blue tote and it is really nice. I have packed a few personal items, medication, and all my electronics I planned the take. I has 2, not just 1 front pocket for smaller items. I packed my plane information, wallet with my ID, important stuff one of the pockets. I liked it so much that I purchased the black one for my son who is traveling with me. He also said he liked this bag. Our trip is coming up so I can't speak about how it is on the plane, but from the pics other people had in their reviews it fit perfectly under the seat. This little tote took the worry off my mind. I want to add this because one reviewer was upset because it didn't have wheels. I you read the information on this particular Samsonite Travel Tote it never mentioned it had wheels. It does have a slot in the back that will fit on luggage with wheels however. This was a good buy for me.

I bought this for a recent trip out west. I didn't want to have to check any bags. I bought a samonsite set many years ago and was very happy with how they have held up. I knew I could not go wrong with this brand. This carryon bag fits more than you think it will. It has a nice zipperred "wet bag" built in to the inside of this suitcase as well as a zippered mesh compartment above it. There are also straps to keep your clothing from being jousled all about once the suitcase is zipperred and upright. It remains upright once filled and fits nicely in the over head compartment (Delta Airlines). I can not speak for other airlines as I have not used this suitcase there. The Teal color is a nice deep color but enough to stand out if you needed to look for it if you wanted to check it. I know you will be pleasantly surprised with this purchase.

If it wasn't for the poor wheels this would have been a 5 star product for the PRICE. Even if you compare it to a much more expensive Briggs and Riley.Pro: Decent zippers. Outside pockets good and well designed. Light carry-on. Has all the right pull handles in the right places. It's boxey-shape is perfect for packing. It maximizes the space well.Cons: The wheels are small... thin an not durable. The Atlantic Ultra Lite spinner is almost exactly like the Samsonite Advena but $40 cheaper. HOWEVER, the Atlantic Ultra Lite spinner does NOT have a bottom pull handle for removal from the overhead bin. Between the Samsonite Advena and Atlantic Ultra Lite, I would choose the Samsonite (BUT BARELY).All that being said, (and, not really a comparison) ... I decided to make an investment in a MUCH more expensive Briggs and Riley Baseline Spinner... although heavier, it had all the right aspects for the making of a perfect carry on - and it's compression capability more than makes up for its slightly smaller size.

This is a beautiful bag- it matches my royal blue Samsonite set. It’s sturdy and the perfect size for a night or two, with plenty of storage. I haven’t tried it under an airplane seat, but we measured it against an underseat suitcase that we know fits from experience, and it looks like this would fit also. I’m so excited! I’ve wanted a wheeled underseat carry on for a long time- beats lugging a heavy backpack through the airport and elsewhere! It’s also very pretty. One note- this is not a spinner like the rest of the set. It has 2 wheels, but that’s good so it doesn’t move around under the seat.

Perfect for what I wanted. Traveling to visit family for just a few days on "basic economy" flights, this is the exact size allowed. Since I don't need to bring shampoo, toothpaste, etc and can always borrow a clothing item or two from my sister if needed, there is plenty of room for a 3-day stay-change of clothes, couple pairs of underwear and socks, stuff for my contacts, medication...that's about all I need. The pockets in front will hold my tablet with reading material and music, phone and wallet and a few small essentials. Very well made and attractive too, I'm looking forward to my trips with this. If you're traveling for business or a longer stay, it may not be enough by itself, but for 2-4 days of casual travel it's perfect.

This personal tote bag is the perfect personal item bag to take as on board luggage on the domestic airlines.It exactly fits the maximum dimensions for the personal item allowed by United and American Airlines. It is very light, strong, space efficient, and has very good quality. I was very surprised how much I could fit in the bag: clothes, bath items, documents, iPad, chargers, money, radio, etc. Great utility at a fair price.

I have already used this twice for a couple of short overnight trips. It held everything I needed without having to sit on it to get the zipper to zip. Even had room for a few extra items. It is well made & very durable. Still looks the same as the day it arrived. I keep it in the bottom of one of my clear clothing bags so it easy to get to & so it does not get lost in the closet.

Very good value. Bought from the warehouse deal with the "very good" condition at the 1/4 of the original price. Although I am not a big fan of the colour (blue), given the good price and brand, I have nothing to complain about :)
