So far it does what it stat.

These are fantastic filters -- especially for the price. I was using original Berkey water filters for years -- just scrubbing the outside using a scrubby when the filtration slowed down. But, as anyone knows who has a Berkey, they are EXPENSIVE. These seem to do just as good a job, were easy to prime and install, and filter the water a whole lot faster than my OLD set of original Berkey filters -- especially as I installed four vs. the original two I was using. It will reduce the overall, available water volume some, but it will filter much faster if you use four vs. only two filters. They seal well and appear to be of high quality. They are the correct size for the unit and fit perfectly. I've only filtered one batch, which you're supposed to dispose of and not drink as it's still clearing the original dust from manufacturing. Same with original Berkey filters. I plan to test this with a water TDS sensor and various contaminant tests to see how well it did. I'm on well water so I want to ensure my drinking water is extra clean, and it looks like these will provide clean, fresh water for years to come.

These activated carbon water filters are a great alternative; they’re compatible with my Big Berkey system and work just as well. Easy to prime like any standard gravity filter, and once installed, they deliver clean, fresh-tasting water. Great value for a 2-pack, and so far they’ve performed exactly as expected. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable and budget-friendly option!

The instructions list that you need to prime the filter by running water through the opposite end with a rubber washer pressed against the faucet. All that did was spray me with water. Thanks. If I pushed harder, I would break my faucet. I tried just installing the filters, after an hour, not one drop came through.

These non-OEM black water filters are the perfect replacement filters for use in a Big Berkey water filtration system. At around $40 a pair this is a no-brainer due to the fact that Berkey is no charging almost $200 for a set on their web site and almost $300 on Amazon for a set… I don’t understand why Berkey feels the need to overcharge people for something that can clearly be made for a much lower price and offered for sale as in this case with these aftermarket filters… The bottom line is that there is zero difference between these $40 black filters and the overpriced Berkey filters…

I'm using this as replacement filter for the big Berkey. They fit and work perfectly, I haven't noticed any difference in taste or smell of the water. However, I don't have a way to verify the water quality after filtration, so I just have to trust that this replacement filter is as good as the OEM version. They fit perfectly and didn't leak (I made sure as I had some bad experience before). This replacement filter filters just as good or maybe even faster than the OEM version. It should last me 6 months, I will see and update here if I experience any issues with it, but so far I don't anticipate any.

NSF certified. Good. I'm generally pretty skeptical of generic brand filters and such, but these ones seem pretty darn good. Installation is easy, water flow good (not too fast), and the water tastes fine coming out the other end.

Primed and installed in to our counter top "berkey clone" filter tank without any issues. Filters our tap water just as well as much higher priced versions. Nice slow filtration rate - water does not pour thru them like some cheap copies. Turns our horrible tap water in to fresh clean tasting "better than bottled" water. My family and I easily go through a gallon and a half of water a day and these filters literally save us hundreds of dollars over using bottle "tap" water. Great value for daily use - also perfect for those looking to stock up in case of emergencies or for camping (altho for camping get a set of ceramic filters as well).
