I bought two 20.3 oz bottles on sale and we’ve been using them daily for our daughter from birth to 15 months. The purple bottle contains clear shampoo with a gentle lavender-like scent. The ingredients are clean and safe (Yuka-approved), and it’s easy to lather — especially with a silicone sponge — producing a moderate amount of foam. After use, my daughter’s hair and skin feel soft and smooth, and it rinses off easily with water. I’m not sure if it really has a “calming” effect — she seems the same as with other brands. Very affordable, large, and perfect for everyday use.

Johnson's Calming Baby Shampoo with Lavender is the perfect way to try and get your child to calm down and relax a bit when it's the end of a long day, they've been awake since before sunrise, and just keep going and going and going - well beyond the capabilities of an Energizer bunny. The shampoo is delicate and gentle so it won't burn their eyes, and it has a great smell to it. There is nothing on this planet that can make our child tired and ready for bed, but this stuff seems to help, even if it's just a little bit. More importantly, it works well for hair, leaves it clean and fresh smelling, and doesn't burn the eyes if you get some in them. I probably won't ever have a need to look for anything else. It seems a little pricey, but Johnson's has the monopoly and there isn't much competition out there. And if there is, it's likely made in China so you'd have to be really cautious due to what chemicals they might use and how bad it could be. That's why I tend to stick to larger brands like Johnson's.

Needing a break from all the different shampoos I use and I decided that this baby shampoo would be the perfect thing to use right now. It smells great and at least my hair really clean. It just needed a break from all the more complicated shampoos that seem to have a lot of product in them as well.

I use this for my dogs to bathe with and they always smell so good afterwards, especially my poodle with sensitive skin.
