Excellent color accuracy, vivid, sharp images, text. Easy set up, excellent ergonomics, high quality
This is a great monitor for overall use: Sharp, accurate, vibrant colors, excellent resolution IPS panel. Because of the 60hz panel, it may not be the best for gamers, but modest game usage should be fine. I use M-series Macs, and set up is a breeze with the usb-c one cable set up. I read every review and have used other excellent monitors including an LG 38-inch 1600p widescreen. Typeface on a Mac setup is excellent, sharp and right sized at the default conversion resolution for M-series Macs. Excellent ergonomics with multiple physical settings. This is one of the best value monitors that shows excellent images and text.

Awesome monitor!
Really clear picture and easy to put together. Lots of cables and big enough for my desk. Great sound and very bright. Easy to connect to my laptop top and compatible with my Mac Pro. Very sturdy as well.

Great Looking Monitor
I have an older LG 24" 4K Ultrafine Thunderbolt Apple Exclusive addition that I use on one of my work stations and I'm relieved to say that this LG 27 Ultrafine 4K looks just as good. It's bright, vivid, and the speakers are decent. With the MonitorControl app you can control the brightness and volume with your keyboard. The main difference between the two is that the 24" has a glossy, retina like display so it looks identical to your macbook display. This 27" has a regular matte display, so it's slightly dull...but for the price, it's a great buy. I highly recommend.

I can see clearly now
I love this big screen. It was very easy to put together and get started. I have a MacBook, and this LG is a little bit quirky. Minor things. But other than that, just a really great 27-inch screen. And, the picture is clean and bright. Definitely worth the price.

Good product
I got it yesterday. Easy to install and my wife, who is a designer, loves it so far due to its vivid colors and quality of the images.

Brilliant Monitor
It is a great 27 inch 4K monitor. Just had it for a few days and it really shines in terms of displaying streaming video camera outputs and for working on MS office and Adobe Acrobat documents. The fonts are crisp and legible for my poor eye sight and pictures and figures are sharp and vivid colors. The sound is outstanding as well. A single joystick as ON/OFF switch and setting monitor parameters is really great idea with a lots of choices for configuring monitor sound, display color and brightness, and many other parameters which I never experienced with other 2K or 4K monitors. See attached photo for screenshot of some video camera pictures and PDF file text and graphics. Outstanding. Overall I rate this monitor as A++ and highly recommend it. I am not sure about long term performance since I had this monitor for only a few days, but will post if any issues or problems.

Ports are faulty
UPDATED: I originally gave 3 stars for below. Dropping to 1. The connectivity with the USB C for the display has to be reset EVERYDAY. Just bought a new HP to replace. Very disappointing. Positives: - Great quality display when working. - sound was a bonus & way better than expected - color quality was great once the right setting was picked Negatives: - The ports are questionable. - USB-A ports (2) on the back regularly go out (unresponsive) and the monitor has to be reset. - USB-C (1) (a must have for me), but the connection is faulty and regularly disconnects for no reason. - Have updated the driver numerous times. Used to HP monitors and never had problems. Second LG monitor and both have had display connection issues.

Good monitor for office and light multimedia work
This is my first 4K computer monitor, but not my first 4K screen. A few years ago, I bought an LG 4K OLED smart TV, and I was happy with the experience. Enjoying my photos in high resolution and on an HDR-capable screen was definitely something that stayed with me ever since. But I wasn't ready to go 4K OLED on my computer yet. The price tag of such a monitor is beyond my acceptable level for everyday use. I'm not in the creative media business to justify the costs. But for the office and light multimedia work (at the amateur level), a decent 4K monitor became a necessity, and one of my old monitors needed an update. I found the LG 27UP850K a good compromise between price and quality. The image is sharp and with good colors out of the box. But for critical work, I have a calibrator that makes it even better. I had some issues in the first weeks of use, but it wasn't the monitor. I hate thick and sturdy cables, and I bought some really thin and flexible ones. Well... don't go for the cheap ones because you will notice problems (mostly derived from the inability of such poor cables to handle the bandwidth required by 4K resolution, combined with the best frame rate you can get and HDR. I replaced the cable with a good brand, and the problems went away. I'm not going to comment on the sound quality. No TV or monitor can deliver the quality of sound I expect using their own little speakers. But the availability is useful for regular work, where audio is just to provide more context to what you see and to immerse you in the story or the emotion of a good musical piece. No, for this kind of experience, I use a pair of good-quality cans, an external DAC unit, and a dedicated headphone amplifier. The USB ports are nice. Not that I use them a lot. But I know I have some extra ports if I expand beyond the regular peripherals. As an electronics engineer, I experiment a lot and USB gives you the ubiquity of communicating with your gadgets and instruments. So far, so good. Once properly set up, the monitor is stable, works as expected, and I hope it will last as long as my old Dell U27813HM (still in service today). As always, YMMV. Enjoy!

Excellent monitor for MacBook Air
This has been a great monitor for my MacBook M1. I love that I can connect and charge with one cable. Display is crisp, speakers aren’t great but I rarely use them. Very stable with included stand. I mainly use for university and work.
