My daughter adores them, They are very durable too
My daughter has Spotty and Shepherd. I was concerned they were a one time use toy,but you can "rescue" them over and over. The only thing you can't do is the tongue; once it is pulled out, it doesn't go back in. But everything else you can put back the way it came like the ears and tear stickers and such. Despite what some other reviewers seemed to think, the fleas didn't actually come attached. They come just stick on the top, and they WILL stay back on there when placed carefully. The dogs are well made and adorable, soft and cuddly. I would honestly recommend this to the parent of ANY kid from age 4-11. My 10 year old niece loves them as much as my 5 year old does. Great toy, average price

Cute
I ordered the spotted dog for my daughter but received the husky. I understand accidents happen. It's definitely a cute little toy but definitely isn't worth $20 in my opinion. It has sticker tears and a couple felt bugs on it, doesn't look great quality. Cute but was disappointed to see it in person.

Wanted to love it
So, the idea and presentation of this product is adorable. Who doesn't want to take a sweet little stuffy and make it pretty? But, alas - this stuffy was not made to look pretty after "rescuing/cleaning/saving". Luckily, I bought this on deal and didn't pay a lot, but I would say our daughter played with it for about a day and then realized it still wasn't cute after all her efforts. Great idea, but unfortunately the value isn't there. Did she love the gift? Yes. Did she love the presentation? Yes, cute packaging. Was it worth the two seconds of entertainment and money? Meh, I'll go with no.

Now I want one
Bought this for a christmas charity & it looks like so much more than the pic shows. There were a lot of little points for the kids to do to rescue that it would take a while & not be just boring brushing. There were bugs to twease off, a bandage to remove, & a few things to make him have a happy look. It was hard to give it away. Would like to see more animal options, though. Could only find dogs in this brand

Great concept.
I love this concept! We get to: rescue the pup, remove the “fleas”, care for any injuries, and bathe and groom. Wonderful idea!!Our only downfall: we were unable to neatly “groom” our puppy. Even after washing him (we followed the directions), he looked just as disheveled as he did in the box. We’re ok with “healthy”, disheveled pets, but others may not be.

Fun while it lasts
Toy was decent enough sadly the fun is short lived. Once you take the scruff out of they puppy it becomes just another stuffed animal. Bought it for a Christmas present it was played with long enough to make it pretty then left to collect dust. Wish there was a way to.continue to groom the dog from street puppy to pristine.

Ehh but worth it for kids heart
Value for the money only 3 stars because these are kind of pricey for a homeless looking toy. However, I gifted to a 6 year old and she didn't understand it at first but after explaining it she spent all day brushing the dog and making him family.

Great Christmas gift!
My 9 year old Granddaughter loved this Rescue Runt. It is pretty adorable. She enjoyed cleaning him up and fixing his fur. Not sure if it had a name, but she named hers Spot. Now the 3 year old wants one.
