Great results, very fair price, but sadly, the stank is real (edited!)
Starting with the good, I am really pleased. I (61f) had been using The Ordinary 5% lactic acid drops on my face, and saw subtle improvement in surface texture. I thought, ok, I don't have any irritation with this, so let's try amping up the percentage. Test patching with this 12% product was ok. Some mild pinprickling - not burning -which is what I expected, and only lasts about a half hour. No rash, no roughness, and the faint pinpricks tell me it's penetrating to do the work. After about a week using it, I'm really liking what I see, and the price doesn't hurt at all. Having said that... I am not what anyone would call "scent sensitive". I wear perfumes, don't have any allergies, headaches, or reactions. But man, this has a smell all its own. It's just, ugh. Like you left yogurt rotting in a rubber glove. And you can't get any closer to the source of the smell than on your own face. It doesn't seem to fade much, either. I could still smell it quite clearly by the end of the day when I put it on in the morning. I actually had my friend sniff me. Closer. Ok, now closer... She practically had her nose pressed up against my cheek when she said, "Oh, ok, now I think I'm smelling it." So it's not like it's stinky to anyone else. But again, nobody smells your own face more clearly than you do, and even at the end of the day it was very noticeable to me. So I do have to knock a star off for that. Having said all that? Still gonna keep using it, because it really does seem to be doing a nice job smoothing out fine surface crepeyness on my face, and plumping/hydrating. Maybe at some point that particular receptor will burn out in my nose and I'll stop noticing that smell. I really hope so, because I rarely see such nice results in such an inexpensive product. (edit) Had to come back and edit this to give it that last star. I'm calling this User Error. More is not better here, and when I used a little less and massaged that in thoroughly, the smell was much, much less, and then really did fade away to nothing in about an hour. I guess applying too much to absorb easily on your face would naturally make it sit there all day on the surface.

Skin is super soft
I’m honestly impressed with this lotion. Within just a couple of days of using it, my skin felt noticeably softer and smoother. It really helped with rough, bumpy texture (especially on my arms), and my skin looks healthier overall. The formula is lightweight but still very moisturizing, and it absorbs pretty quickly without feeling greasy. It does have a slight scent (kind of clinical), but it fades after application and isn’t a dealbreaker for me considering how well it works. If you struggle with dry or textured skin, this is definitely worth trying. It works fast and actually delivers results.

Stinky yet satisfying!
I’ve been using it for a few weeks now. I will say that it does leave my skin feeling smooth. And the moisture stays all day. It’s not too greasy and it dries pretty quick. The main downside it stinks. Kind of like an ammonia smell that’s pretty strong. I’m not sure how long it continues to smell like this on your body after a while you go nose blind to it Update: I’ve been using the product for about a month now and I will say that apparently you were just to the mail because I don’t smell it as strongly when I apply anymore. I can still get with something on my hands, but it’s nowhere near as strong.

Addressing the famous smell!
This is a new product to me, I was recommended AmLactin for a very soecific skin purpose so only months will tell if it achieves that but I can tell you after using it that it is good as a moisturizer. I am not using it on my face, I am using it on my neck, decollette (did I spell that correctly??), arms and legs with special attention on my hands and neck. I find it to dry down to be lightweight and not greasy, and have had no irritation. It feels great. I heard about the famous smell, it almost deterred me from trying this, so let’s address that! I heard it “stinks”, smells “like ammonia”, “like milk that’s gone bad”, “awful sour milk” and my favorite “cat urine”. This was all on my mind as I timidly unscrewed the cap to smell it before I applied it. From the bottle, I honestly couldn’t smell anything. Nothing. Not a thing. Nope. No smell. So I squeezed out a pump on the back of my hand and put my nose up to it just sitting on my hand, waiting to be applied. Nothing….no smell at all. Seriously. Well, I guess I just don’t smell it, I said, and smoothed it onto the backs of my hands which get so dry they look crepey. They aren’t crepey, but they have been so dry I can imagine crepey, and I’d like to prevent this so here we are. As soon as I rubbed the lotion in a little, I sniffed my hand and ohhhhhhh, there it is, that smell. I have to put my nose to within about 3 inches of my hand to smell it so I don’t think you’ll be wafting around but it definitely does have a not awesome scent once you rub it in before it dries down. I think the descriptions of the smell are quite dramatic. No, it’s not preferable by any means, but it’s not flower wilting. It’s a MILD unpleasantly SLIGHTLY out of date milk smell and maybe mildly like light ammonia. It gets better as it dries down but you would have to pretty much TRY to smell it by putting your nose close, it doesn’t reek from afar. I can see some people not even being bothered by it at all- don’t get me wrong, it’s not anything you’d WANT to smell like as in a perfume- but I’m willing to bet the rare person likes it. It’s yucky but for real, just let it dry down and then apply your preferred body spray or whatever. Be for real, it’s a little offputting, but it IS NOT that bad. It’s tolerable and the lotion is said by dermatologists to have real skin benefits for dry bumpy outer arms or crepeiness. I will buy this again and I recommend it. If the scent is strong you might want to make sure yours has not gone bad. And this is a gentle exfoliant so wear sunscreen on every place exposed to the sun everytime you go out while using this especially which is something you should be doing (wearing sunscreen) anyway. I am happy with this purchase.

Very moisturizing 10 stars 👌
I do love this lotion , the longer you use it the better your skin gets . This was recommended by a dermatologist on YouTube, she says it makes you produce collagen & this is good for wrinkles & prevention . I have used it on my body & now I’ve tried it on my face twice during the day , to increase my collagen production . We shall see , but either way it feels awesome as a lotion & I will continue to use it . If you do decide to use it on the face , start out slow in case of breakouts & such …

A Non-Sexy Skincare Lotion That Rises To The Occasion
I bought this lotion because of a TikTok video from a dermatologist who recommended this for aging skin. I'm a senior and have lost weight recently and to my appalled surprise I now have crepey skin on my face that shows when I smile. It's horrifying! I've tried so many products geared to my age and for this particular problem to no avail. Today's skincare culture has us using a dozen products for our face and I haven't had much success with all the recommendations. Now I'm back to simplicity. I use a gentle cleanser and this lotion now. It's a moisturizing exfoliating lotion with 12% lactic acid that is supposed to renew the surface of the skin and even has shown to increase skin thickness with continued use. It is unscented but has a very, very, very slight smell that is almost non-existent and doesn't bother me at all and I am very sensitive to scents. The lotion is of a medium thickness and a little goes a long way. My skin felt instantly moisturized and I could feel a very, very, very slight tingle effect which the dermatologist said would happen because of the lactic acid. Of course extra care needs to be used when going outside and one needs to make sure they wear a sunscreen (but we should be doing that anyway, right?) This moisturizer can be used all over the body and face and will smooth rough skin and increase skin tone. I've only been using it for a few days but I really like how my skin feels. I can't claim yet that it decreased the crepey skin on my face but I feel if anything is going to work, it will be this lotion. Now my skincare routine consists of a gentle cleanser, Amlactin lotion, and Vaseline Petroleum Jelly (IFYKYK ; )

Bottle not filled to capacity , product seems fine
The bottle of lotion that I opened is only 1/2 full !! No evidence of leak during shipping and cap was intact The bottle looks to have only been partially filled at the source It doesn’t appear to have been tampered with ; it is just not completely filled!!

IT WORKS!!!
Pros: ACTUALLY WORKS! Doesn't sting my skin (some others may have more sensitive skin, though). Cons: Smell is "eh" at best and sometimes there's a hint of an ammonia type smell, but it dissipates pretty quick. Takes a bit to rub in. I figured I would give this a try and wasn't disappointed. I've struggled with dry skin for my whole life (super flaky and scaly skin at the worst, like no amount of scrubbing would get the flakes off - I believe it's a mild form of ichthyosis). I've tried the oatmeal lotions, the daily moisturizer lotions, the bulk (I'll drown you in moisture), Aveeno, Lubriderm, Aquaphor, Suave, etc. Nothing helped get rid of it. There would be relief (less itching after showers, temporary appearance improvement), but it wouldn't actually get the scales or flakes to LEAVE. I saw another review (I think for the intensive version rather than the daily) that showed the same kind of skin flakiness I have and an actual improvement. Same active ingredients (didn't want to pay THAT price), and I figured I would try to actually apply each day to REALLY give it a chance. Tried it on my arms every day and the flakes really started lifting up after a few days, and there were fewer and fewer as it went on. I moved to my legs and other parts of my body after that and I'm telling you, it's crazy how the right tool for the job is true here. It is a bit oily or greasy in a way, but if you take the time to rub it in, it's not really an issue - I haven't seen any effects on my clothes. My skin has never felt so soft and like regular skin, I finally get to feel normal! Everyone's skin is different, so your mileage may vary, but this is going on subscribe and save for me.

Excelente para la piel seca
Excelente crema hidratante!
