6" Square Adapter for Pottery Wheels

Works perfectly for my Shimpo Century Wheel. I love not having to take all of my work directly off of the bat before it is ready. Just use a pencil, a sharpie, a screwdriver, a dowel or something smooth to pry up the inserts when you are ready, because once the bat gets wet and soggy, it will expand a tiny bit as expected. Love this product.

The square started expanding after the first use and are now difficult to get in and out of the round bat. Very disappointed.

I bought these for use in a community studio where shelf space is at a premium. I had always wanted to try one of the bat systems with inserts. I likely will order more inserts. They are a space saver on the shelves. I recommend using a metal tool to remove the inserts, since I broke a wooden tool removing an one. Also, be sure to wet these a bit before smacking a ball of clay on the bat. If they're too dry, the clay won't adhere during centering.One complaint is that the inserts swell a bit after wet, which I discovered when I removed one insert to let a bowl firm up a bit before altering the foot. I could not get it back in the adapter. I thought this would be a huge advantage of this system, and it works 2 out of 3 times, but not that third time. If you throw drier, this likely will not be a problem.My only disappointment with the system is that expedited shipping was not an option on Amazon. I needed these in a hurry, but shipping options were not available.

This is perfect for throwing smaller items. It does get a little tight after the first few uses. Use a tool to leverage from the side and it comes out fine. To place in I just lubricate the sides with water.

Works to release pieces, but......they will be more than leather hard when you realize they have released. You will need an eagle eye on them if you want to do any trimming.

Perfect for throwing smaller bowls and mugs. Very easy to install and the rubber grommets keep it securely in place. Finger holes make it very easy to remove the finished piece without damaging it.
