I was reluctant to buy this deck initially. I loved the art but I was worried it was too much of a novelty deck. What convinced me to buy it was seeing that the artist did some work on some of the Angel comics (my TV teenage obsession). For some reason that reassured me!The Haunted House Tarot deck is dark, atmospheric and reads beautifully. It's so much more than just a novelty deck. Sasha Graham has created a wonderfully clear tarot deck rich with character and depth. There's recurring characters throughout the deck with a strong narrative feel. I love the court cards which are themed. For example, all the Pages are manifesting the magic of their element. While the Queens' are all regally holding their cup or wand etc.I adore the beautiful Aces and the rich colours of the deck. The imagery is simple but colourful and it follows the Rider Waite Smith symbolism closely. This makes is easy to read for those proficient in that system. I also love the nods to old school horror films.I've since purchased some of Sasha Grahams books to better understand her perspective of the tarot. The LWB is great but far too short, so I'm enjoying her longer tarot books. Highly recommended.

This is a stunning deck,very vibrant and beautiful artwork.It is enhanced by being boarderless and the cards not having titles,only discreet numbers instead but don’t worry it’s easy to tell which card is which as it stays close to Waite-smith symbolism but with a dark and spooky twist!Card backs are reversible.The major arcana tell the story of Raven,a character at the haunted mansion,cups are ‘’The Inspiration of Angels’,pentacles ‘The legacy of witches ‘,wands are ‘The passion of vampires’and swords ‘The pondering of demons’.The LWB is standard -multi language-Lo scarabeo sadly-I would of liked a proper companion book or at least a full 63 pages,the deck deserves it!So much detail and hidden depth is within it.One spread is given but on page 2 of the booklet there is another spread but no information about it,whether this is a printing mistake or they tried to give a mystery spread I don’t know.I adore this deck already and I only received it today.This is the closest mass market deck I’ve encountered to my Favourite Baba Studio Deck ‘The Bohemian Gothic’ and I think anyone who likes dark and gothic decks would enjoy this one-a deck that is interesting,somewhat strange but still perfectly readable.

I love anything spooky and i am a Tarot collector so was intrigued about these.Ordered and was absolutely in love with them instantly. The pictures are very alluring and have that romantic gothic horror feel to them with actually being scary.Alovely matt finish and standard size(which i prefer bigger but heh)One card is quite disturbing as it has someone drawing a sword across their wrist which i think some would probably find this a bit much.Other than that a beautiful Tarot pack and one i cant see me ever getting rid of.

I held back from buying this deck for a long time because I really don't need another novelty tarot, which I expected this to be. But it turned out this deck is anything but just a novelty deck! It's surprisingly deep and reads like a dream. The artwork is very moody and atmospheric and printed on fairly decent cardstock. It's just a beautiful deck. The only reason I knocked a star off is because it smells awful! If it hadn't been sealed I'd have thought it came from a heavy smoker's house! As soon as I took the wrapping off I was hit with a very strong smell that I can only describe as resembling strong cigarette smoke! It's just horrible. I really hope it will start to fade soon. Other than that, I love the deck.

i love them. They are great quality, easy to shuffle and the imagery is creative and inviting. i used them for Halloween but they are great for other spooky kind of readings. They are worth the price and the information booklet is helpful and they arrived rather quickly.

I don't know why I waited so long to buy this deck, it's absolutely magical. I love everything that is gothic/horror and these cards are just perfect. Do not hesitate to buy them! Surprisingly I've had very detailed readings. It's an all rounder for traditional and intuitive interpretation however, there is more depth in the guidance with this chatty Scorpionic deck.
