088796 Battery for Bose Soundlink Mini II/2 Speaker 088789 088772 7.4V 2600mAh/19.24WH-Hands-on Welding Required,Battery Without Circuit Board (088796)

Installation is quite demanding! It requires not only soldering equipment and skills, but also a molten solder snap-vacuum removal tool. I ended up discarding the Boss sound device and sending the battery back. But the item itself - if you can manage it - is precisely what is needed when the battery fails.

I saw that someone commented that the soldering was tough. I figured, I was an instrument tech many years ago and had all the tools. But beware, this is extremely challenging. I failed and then threw away the battery and the speaker. The part looked good and shipped properly. But since, it didn't fire up when I completed, I don't know the quality level.

Steady as she goes is what you will need to solder this one to work properly. Don’t drink coffee first.

This battery is a good replacement and seems to be of very high quality. I had trouble desoldering the wires from the power board. Maybe my soldering iron was not hot enough. So to not risk damaging the power board, I cut the wires to the old battery and spliced in to the wires from the new battery. I used shrink wrap to insulate the wires. My soundlink mini 2 works great now. Like new!!!

It did not work for me. We did all as they said and the speaker did not restart again. It was a a lost of money totally. Beware!

Too difficult to replace

The idem was good but I couldn’t use it because I didn’t have the right tools to make it work and for me to have a professional fix it cost more than replacing it being I found it on sale I bought a new one. Thank you
