From opening the box I knew this was a great chopping boardI have wanted a new wooden chopping board for the kitchen for a while. I like a Butchers Block style. This Acacia wood one arrived packed in cellophane with care instructions including pre use ones.It comes in a good size at 38 x 30 x 2cm. It is reversible and has a striped wood design. The long edges are a gentle wavy effect with a darkened edge.It is good quality and the surface is smooth.The board is easy to clean, not dishwasher safe and can be recoated with a little olive oil rubbed over the surface.I would highly recommend this board and its current price offers great value.PositivesAn attractive look in the kitchenGood quality woodEasy clean and maintainNegativesIt does scratch so will need care with oil (see photo after a weeks use)I would have liked it another 1cm thicker to be perfect.

It really is gigantic and sturdy. Either the wood or the stain leaves unusually visible scratches after use, but it's very easy to re-oil with mineral or pure tung oil.

It marks really easily and looks like the wood has been coloured differently underneath so not great quality.

Nice quality chopping board for the low price!
