GT Radial CHAMPIRO TOURING A/S Touring Radial Tire - 195/65R15 91H

After my Ecopia Bridgestones wore out on my Prius. I replaced them with these guys.Pros1. Quiet ride seem to be much like my Goodyears and Bridgestone ecopias2. Good tread wear 9k miles or so and still 8/32. New was I believe 9/323. Price very good for the tires4. Balanced out easilyCons1. Provide decent grip but def not like my Goodyear and ecopia2. Dropped mpg. My avg previous was 48mpg. These gave me 46 avg.Overall these get more of a 4.5 very nice tires for the price. I’m throwing these same ones on my Subaru!

Good value. Ride is smooth and quiet. Balancing took minimal weights.However, the dry traction is lacking compared to others brands. Has noticable understeer taking corners above 40 mph. Cruising at highway speeds does not inspire confidence as the vehicle does not feel planted. Vehicle feedback feels light and vague. Haven't driven through rain. Plan to brake early and lightly to ensure proper stopping distance. This is an initial evaluation while tires are new.Would I buy again? Probably not. I enjoy driving too much and these do not make the cut.UPDATE:Have about 1000 miles on the tires. Surprisingly, they have improved some. The understeering has REDUCED about 50%. The vehicle handles just good enough on mountain roads to where you feel in control of the vehicle at reasonable speeds. It still understeers but not to the point where you wonder if the vehicle is going to turn.The highway ride is also better. Does not have a planted feeling but it just feels light and slightly squirrelly. It won't dazzle any drivers but it doesn't feel like it's constantly hydroplaning either. Gas mileage has not changed.Overall, it's a reasonable buy once you get pass the "Jesus, take the wheel" phase. The tire performance is in line with the price. I would buy again. Not adding any additional stars though.

Great tires, using them on a 2010 Prius. Definitely more quiet than previous (more expensive) tires I've had. Two things:1) In my area, the manufacturer no longer distributes or has any dealers. So their road hazard warranty that comes with the tires automatically is pretty useless in that regard for me. That being said, I don't normally purchase a road hazard warranty when I buy tires, so not much lost. Would have been a nice thing for the sake of it, I guess.2) Someone else left a detailed review. The handling aspect doesn't much apply to me since I put them on my Prius, however the 1000 mile "break in" period can be confirmed in other regards. My guess is that detailed review is pretty accurate.

These are inexpensive good tires. Installed good and balanced well. Tires drivessmooth, straight with minimal road noise. Time will tell how well they wear.I got 2 of these for a price of 1 at a club warehouse. Using these on a toyota corollaand not on a high end luxury car so, price was an issue.
