Giro Cielo MIPS Cycling Helmet

The advertised weight of the helmet is 16 oz. which is relatively heavy which concerned me. The good news is that it actually weighs 12.5 oz. This makes a big difference on those long rides. I almost didn't purchase it for this reason. The venting is plenty adequate, the fit is very comfortable and easily adjustable. This is the 3rd Giro helmet I have had and never disappointed. BTW.....my last helmet has two cracks in it and saved me a concussion or worse! Thank you Giro!

This helmet fits great and the MIPS technology is a great safety feature. I find it very comfortable. I ride a catrike recumbent 15+miles 3 times a week. I have added the giro roc loc 5 lite to it also.

Very comfortable and secure fit. I have a large head that can be a squeeze in most baseball caps. Size large fits nicely.

Awesome helmet, only thing I don't like are the straps. They're a hard scratchy ribbon and just don't feel right no matter what I do.

I’ve been using it consistently for several months, and it remains comfortable and reliable. Recently, I experienced a fall on the road where I took a direct impact to the head while wearing the helmet. The helmet absorbed the impact effectively, and fortunately, there were no serious consequences. Pro: Nice fit for my head size and shape. Personal, I know. Better than previous Giro helmets. Thinner straps are more comfortable for me. Straps lie closer to my head than previously. Great airflow, though in high humidity no helmet can keep head from being soaked completely in my experience . I carry a bandana pre-folded to quickly apply if I need to stop, to keep sweat from running into my eyes. Con Buckle is not always easy to unbuckle, but I like that it is smaller than before. Solid helmet, predictable Giro sizing. I wish the Boa dial was a tad larger, make it more easy to find while riding. But this lid won’t disappoint.

Very well constructed. Great ventilation. Highly recommend this helmet.
