A simple and important tool
Chain "stretch" outside acceptable limits can cause major damage to your drivetrain which is expensive. This tool can help you prevent that. This tool has one flaw which is the measurements are .75 and 1.0 but the real standards set by repair experts are .5 and .75. So be guided by the outer limit of .75 so you do not get damaging wear. For example, though more expensive, the Park Tool uses the .5 and .75 reference

Cheap and works great for 7 speed or lower chains
I bought a Park CC3.2 to check my bike's chains, but realized that it checks 0.5 and 0.75% wear. This is fine for 8+ speed chains, but for single speed up to 7 speed chains, 0.75% wear is still acceptable. This chain checker has 0.75 and 1.0%, which is a good complement to the Park. For the price, I expected shipping to be a while from China. Works great and I'd recommend!
