Keeps foot dry
Worked well to keep foot dry when my dog had a full cast on that covered her foot. I could easily slip this boot on when I took her outside to potty. Much easier to put on than the stretchy boots. Velcro straps held it in quite well. Sizes run small, I had to get a bigger one

These have really great potential with tweaking...
There is a rather dramatic shift from Medium to Large. I have a greyhound so I need something really narrow and tall. The Large gets the right height with a bit too much diameter (and way too much velcro), while the medium gets a better diameter (a little too small actually) but felt like less than half the height of the large, which made it completely impractical for me. There are plenty of medium and large breeds that are tall and aren't built like tanks... A tall set of sizes and a short set of sizes would be amazing to me, but may make things too niche.Setting aside the size range oddness, the velcro really is annoying. I ended up tying a couple of knots in each band of the velcro in order to adjust it down to my dog's slim leg. Considering all the complaints I am seeing in the reviews, something could really be done to vastly improve the line of boots by doing some combo of the following:A- make the velcre either longer so that a double wrap could be possible where necessary OR shorter because even simply filling the volume of the large boot with a cylinder still left too much velcro to actually secure the boot to the cylinder.B - even out the proportion of hook side to loop side to be closer to even so that there is more of a chance for the two sides to catch against each otherC- replace the velcro altogether with something less stretchy because there is way more give in the current length than can be used to actually wrap up a paw.Critiques aside, this is much easier to use and kinder on my pet's skin than a lot of other products I have had to try out during an extended recovery process in wet weather. I still use a sock with this boot because (lucky me) my dog's skin chafes that easily, but I appreciate how well these boots are balancing the competing demands of being lightweight, protective, durable, and comfortable.I think it is doing a really good job with that balancing act. I am impressed with the durability! Tweaks to the velcro would make this aces.

Last a while in concrete.
My daughter just got a 2 to 3 year old dog that was from a foster home type dog shelter. He was fostered at a place that had a back yard and obviously wasn't walked on concrete sidewalks. One of his pads on his front leg started bleading and was worn down. Probably a birth defect or previous injury? Put this on, did slip down a little, and sounds funny like he's a trotting horse. But last long, (tried the more expensive rubber soled type but kept popping off his leg.) And only had to resew a broken, worn seem. And it is still working fine. The elastic velcro straps streached out to where I have to double wrap them = 3 straps. But still stay just fine. Highly recommend these. Going to order a back up.

Worked great!
Pup had surgery on his foot and we needed to keep him from licking it. Rather than go for that uncomfortable neck collar, decided to try this out instead and it worked great. Was perfect to ensure he couldn’t get to his foot while allowing normal life to go on. Also kept his foot clean and gave the wound time to heal when outside (rather than breaking open on rough surfaces, etc.). And didn’t seem to bother him at all when on - which is where it stayed most of the time - honestly think the few times I found it on the floor was our fault, didn’t tighten it up enough. Great option for us, hopefully you’ll find it helpful as well!

Not super durable
This little boot was great for about two uses. I wish it had some sort of reinforced, grippy bottom pad. It’s fairly easy for a determined pup to take off, but I finally got my little guy to leave it on. We took him out on a walk (his wound on top of his foot is healing well). One walk and he wore a hole right through it. It definitely wasn’t made to be used hard.

Medical boot 1 German Shepherd 0
My German Shepherd, Mia, on her fifth birthday, sliced open her paw, and after various visits to the vet, something had to be done to keep her from licking her wounds. The wraps at the vet had given us were practically useless as Mia would rip them off, and begin to lick and remove the stitches from her paw. After the second time, she was able to remove her stitches. I decided that something needed to be done. I saw this medical boot on Amazon and as I was a little weary that it wouldn’t be able to withstand Mia I bought it anyway and I am so glad that I did because this was the only thing that kept Mia from licking and reopening her stitches. She couldn’t understand how to take it off which was great so her paw was able to heal nicely, and now she is running around as rambunctious as ever after finally getting her paw to heal all because I put her in a medical boot for her recovery. She also loves splashing in puddles with the medical boot, and it was able to keep her wound and stitches, virtually dry, and that is a real challenge when it comes to Mia so that was more than a relief when I realized that this boot was also pretty water resistant.

Not water proof
My dog needed stitches in her paw and I ordered this. What a disappointment! First time going out potty and wet grass her bandage was soaked. It only has about 2-3” of an additional pad on the outside bottom and no reinforcement for wetness to get in from the stitch line. Need to redesign this one

The sizing is as it should be
My dog has allergies and is always licking his paws. These help keep him from hurting his paws

Good boot
I used it for my dog who cut her pad and needed 4 weeks of bandage changes. Not water proof though, worked well with a plastic bag placed over her foot then boot on top.

Do not buy, save your money
Complete waste of money! This was $25 and it broke after two walks. Thought it would be better quality, the bottom doesn’t even have grips or any rubber bottom so it’s not even waterproof when walking in the snow or wet ground.

Good for front paws,not back
I see how this would be useful but because of its shape, it really is only useable for front paws. Because of the shape (longer and angle) of back paw, it didn’t fit. Had to use a poop back with self adhering tape instead.
