This arrived as promised. I mounted it on the wall behind my tv at the cieling. I live in a large metropolitan area. There are 41 local over the air stations such as ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CW, ION, TBN, and other independent local stations.It says that it will pick up signals up to 80 miles. However if you live 30 miles or more from a major city and there are hills surrounding your home, it is likely you may or may not get as many or any stations at all.As far as reaching 80 miles, this is iffy. From the tower and out 70 miles the curvature of the earth begins. Even though transmissions are digital now, the picture and audio is carried on an FM carrier wave. An FM carrier wave travels in a straight line. Therefore, once it reaches the 70 mile radious through flat terrain, it begins to fade out and continues traveling into space.Before you buy this or any indoor digital antenna, consider the distance and terrain between your home and the broadcast tower(s).You might want to consider purchasing an outdoor digital antenna that can be remotely rotated 360 degrees and be on the highest point on your property especially if there are hills between your home and the transmitter towers.

I live out in the country and thought this would give me more channels than I get with my old antenna. I dont even get the channels I get with my old antenna with this one. I have moved it all around and it simply doesnt do anything. I just hooked up my old antenna and will be happy with my local channels. A waste of money.

Yes, this is amazing HD TV antenna. I have an old similar this one. But it doesn't work, I remembered I spend over $40 five years ago. Sometimes, it shows the poor signal, sometime, it stops. It is so frustrated. Recently, I search HD TV antenna again, and I found this one, it is cheaper and I bought it. After I install it, that is perfect, I can pickup more than 60 channels, and it is HD than before. It is a completely free TV. I don't need spend more money on cable. It is just awesome. and also it is really easy to install. I truly recommend to my friends to buy and try it. Trust me, you never regret to buy this amazing HD TV antenna.

I should have hesitated on this purchase because of the inexpensive price and big promises in the description. I am less than 50 miles directly between 2 large cities. I was sure I would be able to pick up there local channels. We live in an area that is completely flat so obstruction shouldnt be a problem. I tried in many spots in my home and I couldn't get any channels, no channels, 0.So, spend a couple of more dollars and buy another antenna. The one positive is for the sellers, it got here lightening fast, so kuddos to that, but Boo on the product.

This powered antenna does do a better job than my old set of rabbit ears when hooked up to my 42" hdtv, but not that much better. The best part is that because it gets some strength of all my local channels I don't have to add anything after running SETUP ANTENNA on my tv, plus I don't have to aim this antenna, but I do have to aim my old one. The signal is clear, but I can't see any real difference between the powered and unpowered.

I would recommend this product at the price I got it. Very inexpensive, and does the job. Does NOT pick up any channels more than what the other TV antenna did.

Installation was a breeze. Gets all the channels (even from a indoor location nowhere close to the window) as I should get (from the government - dtv site). 1080p HD too. Great product.
