TePeSelect Toothbrush - Extra Soft

Good tooth brush but I prefer compact ones.

You'd never believe it judging by looks but this is one hell of a toothbrush. Sure, it's got a plain, flat heat but it's all about texture, not shape with Tepe. I always get a goody bag of extras from my dentists, and this was sadly forgotten about. Well, lucky for me, I didn't junk it, but gave it a go. I was amazed. It's the softest thing ever.Forget all my past toothbrushes with their 'groovy' shapes, trendy colours and vibrating motion. This is as old school as you get, and I truly believe, kind to my poor enamel. I am, alas, the type of brusher who has been admonished severely, ordered strictly to set a timer when brushing - to stop. 3 mins is my limit, no more. And I have a forceful touch I'm afraid, call it the housewife touch - you can never scrub enough, nor hard enough.Well, I'll tell you one thing - no matter how much you may 'scrub' your teeth, this Tepe won't have it, it will only resolutely succumb itself against your teeth for its bristles are as flexible as a gymnast, lest you do more damage to your poor canines.Truly a bargain, I would never use those scourers posing as toothbrushes again. Unless I find something more gentle, I'm sticking with Tepe.Apparently it's arm is malleable to a 45 deg. angle under hot water, but I don't find this happening. Not a problem when the bristles are as soft as this.

Tepe toothbrushes were recommended to me by a friend who read about them online, This particular design is slightly longer than the compact design, but is a good replacement of the normal brushes I have been using (Sensodyne Precision - soft). Although Tepe call their brushes Extra Soft they are not really any more soft than the Sensodyne soft I am used to. After a few weeks use the bristles of the Tepe brush show no noticeable signs of wear and feel almost the same as when new.Although the Tepe toothbrush lacks some of the designer styling of the Sensodyne and Oral B brushes, it feels comfortable in the hand and is easy to use effectively. Tepe brushes seem to be good value for money, as they costs over £1 less than the usual brush I have been buying, and UK delivery is free. The packaging for each brush is similar to other branded toothbrushes and the delivery package I received was a plain white envelope of strong paper, which was undamaged on arrival.The only minor drawback is that choosing the colour of your brush appears to be pot-luck, which is not a problem if you are not bothered about the colour of your toothbrush and don't share your bathroom with other people who may have to same colour brush.

Soft brush that seems to do the job well.

This is quite a soft brush but not as soft as I'd like. I've previously bought the Special Care brush but that is a little too soft with a smaller head and less filaments.I'm now looking for a TePe Gentle Care toothbrush that should do the trick. However, they are advertised on Amazon at over £20 and so I've contacted the TePe head office in the UK to see if there's another way to buy one.

Information said colours vary, but really, I've just received a dark grey toothbrush. Who thought of that idea to produce one that colour. It's enough to put you off cleaning your teeth! I know it's a bit pernickety but I won't be putting this toothbrush on show! Got no problems with it's performance. It does the job good.

A little too soft for me. If the head was the same size as the others in this range and contained the same number of filaments, then it might be firm enough. I'm now looking for the Gentle Care toothbrush that should be the next one up in terms of firmness.

Nothing particularly special about this brush, and feels cheap to hold, my search for the perfect soft brush continues
