Here’s an in-depth review for anyone debating the high price!
The media could not be loaded. Don’t let the subscription deter you, this alarm clock is completely usable without it.The monthly subscription is mainly for more sounds and bedtime stories, plus 2 added steps to your sleep/wake routine which are ‘Unwind’ and ‘Morning Moment’. I’d suggest setting up some routines while on the free version, to get the feel of it first; then get the free trial and immediately cancel it, so you don’t get charged but can try it out for a month. (Keep the alarms when you cancel!) If you realize that you like the subscription version more than the free: the monthly price is $5 totaling to $60 a year, and the yearly subscription is $50.The sunrise feature is super customizable, you can have the dim lamp go very bright within 5 minutes or up to an hour. There’s 28 different sleep sounds, 12 sunrises, and 13 alarm sounds to choose from without a subscription.Hatch claims this alarm is science-backed in lulling you to sleep but also waking you up gradually and peacefully. Listening to brown noise definitely helps me stay asleep for most of the night; whereas before, I’d wake up numerous times every single night. Also I can for sure say that after having this clock for a few months, not once have I woken up to a jarringly loud alarm and jumped out of bed after realizing I snoozed all of my alarms, like I did with iPhone alarms. The biggest issue is that it relies on a constant WiFi/power connection. If a cell tower nearby goes down or there’s no power, you’re stuck without an alarm clock.I got the Putty color option, it’s a lighter tan with a hint of pink. The video I included shows the Brown Noise sleep sound and the light color Evening Sun. There are instructions that come with the clock that tell you where to touch for adjusting the volume and light, how the two Rest/Rise buttons at the top work, and how to set up the clock within the app. It took about 10 minutes for my clock to connect and register/update, so don’t be worried if it takes awhile. Upon opening this alarm clock, I’d recommend placing the box upright and pulling the top of the box off, so the clock stays in the bottom of the box and doesn’t fall out.Not only is this an aesthetic clock, but it’s also a sound machine, an alarm, and a curated sunrise. The ability to have a different alarm schedule is a huge bonus as well, especially if you have a differing morning routine depending on the day. Honestly, the price could definitely be lower, but I believe it’s just about worth it over other options.

Love it!
The Hatch Restore 3 offers a comprehensive approach to improving sleep quality and establishing a consistent sleep routine. This device combines a sunrise alarm, sound machine, and customizable light settings into a single, user-friendly product. My experience with the Restore 3 has been notably positive, particularly in terms of its impact on my morning and evening routines. The sunrise alarm feature is a standout, providing a gentle and natural way to wake up. Instead of the jarring experience of a traditional alarm, the gradual increase in light simulates a natural sunrise, which helps to regulate the body's circadian rhythm. Additionally, the variety of soundscapes available are conducive to relaxation and can effectively mask disruptive noises, promoting deeper and more restful sleep.Overall, it’s a valuable tool for individuals seeking to enhance their sleep environment and overall sleep quality. Its ease of use, combined with its effective features, makes it a worthwhile investment for those prioritizing sleep and well-being.

Amazing, even for box fan users!
I had been wanting to purchase one of these for years. However, I sleep with a box fan (on max level) and didn’t think that a Hatch Restore would be helpful for me because I already use a fan for noise/airflow. I decided to go ahead and get the Restore to test out the sunrise alarm more than anything. To my surprise, each feature of the Hatch Restore has been pretty life changing for my nighttime/morning routine. Firstly, the sunrise alarm theory works very well. It gently wakes me up instead of a jarring alarm. I get up for the day feeling way more rested and peaceful than before. I use the free version of the app and set up the 30 minute “wind down” routine with the “sample” sounds that comes with it. Each night, the Restore plays a different ambient sound while the night light slowly dims with the 30 minute timer. Once it fully dims, it switches to my sleep sound I chose, which is nighttime crickets. I have it set to a specific sound level that can be heard over my box fan. The sound quality is amazing. Mixing fan noise and ambient noises is actually a really great move for better sleep. I personally think that the premium membership would be worth it - then you can create your own routines and use any of the sounds in their rather large sound library. Lastly, the UI for this clock is really great. Tap it anywhere to see the time, press the top button to start your nighttime routine, hold it down to turn off your alarm. Simple and easy. Yes, the clock is very expensive. But this is the most extensive and customizable clock I have ever seen. It really has helped my sleep tremendously and I have been recommending it to so many people. Worth the money!!!
