A wonderful snack
I didn't know what to expect when I ordered this item. I studied and read the description over and over. They seemed like a great choice for a different kind of snack. The peanut butter ones are my favorite. It's soft, chewy, and loaded with flavor. I shared the other flavors with friends, but I kept the peanut butter all to myself.

Almost Amazing
These were really tasty, but the filling was too sweet. It was practically pure peanut butter. I was expecting more of a semi sweet filling like most mochi deserts. The outer power is good but kind of gives it a stale kind of taste, just a hint. Overall, this was a good buy considering it's mochi shipped. I'd buy it again.

Used to get these at Grocery stores in Manassas, VA as well as Philadelphia, PA. Rare in NJ
These are one of my all-yime favorite snacks and I can't wait until I recieve the next order. If the price were a bit more affordable I would keep them in stock constantly. Very delicious!!

East (Mochi) Meets West (PB) in the Most Delightful Way
These are absolutely delicious, something you might find perhaps at a Chinese dim sum. They are delectably soft with wonderful peanut butter flavor, it really works with mochi! I LOVE that they taste so fresh and not "packaged" at all. If you like Asian confections (and peanut butter) you will not be disappointed with these. They are going to have to be a staple at our house.

Non-traditional flavor daifuku, like when I was a kid
I grew up with traditional daifuku and Anko and Shiroan mochi, but in the spring and fall, we had different types of wagashi, manju, and the "novelty" treats.y favorite were the fruit flavored mochi and peanut butter daifuku. Rather than the rice or matcha powder, this has a peanut based coating, which is a little more course in texture but pleasant and in my opinion more flavorful than the traditional coating some daifuku is coated in. Shiroan is my all-time favorite, but it's only really good fresh. I'd given up finding commercial daifuku until I found these. They make me think of going to the confectioners with my grandma after Obon festival or going with my dad to get a box for my grandma on the way to visit. Now that the nearest confectionery is almost 800 miles away, these are a welcome gift to myself when I'm feeling nostalgic.

The center threw me off
I was expecting more of a peanut butter taste for the center filling of these. But it is more of a peanut paste taste.Someone ground up a bunch of peanuts, didn't really add any sweetener, and put it in mochi. If I had been expecting that, maybe it would have been better, but I couldn't get over being punched in the face by a LARGE solid block of peanut paste. The mochi part itself was soft and tasty. If there was less filling these would probably be delicious!

Real review
OK guys. Honest review here. I originally started buying the red bean mochi because I have had it in restaurants and loved it. It was ok ordered here, just more bland than I hoped. That was best chilled, these come very fresh and very soft. Chilled makes it firm up, which is better to me. Then I tried the peanut mochi after reading the positive reviews. I'm not a sweets person, but let me tell you. Oh my goodness. If you like Reese cups, peanut butter or the homemade chocolate peanut butter eggs sold at Easter...there is a good chance you will LOVE the peanut mochi. The filling tastes EXACTLY like every homemade easter egg I have ever had. A perfect sweet peanut butter filling. Best served chilled so the mochi isn't so "soft" and odd to some. Take a chance. This is good stuff for cheap.
