I haven’t worn a traditional watch in quite a while—my daily companion is an Apple Watch—but I still appreciate the charm of an analog timepiece, especially one that tries to do something artistic or visually interesting. In terms of build quality, this watch is solid. Literally. It has a noticeable heft to it, weighing 98 grams (3 3/8 oz), and it feels well made. The case is metal rather than plastic, the central bead looks like a polished stone, and the silicone band feels sturdy. No complaints there. If watches were judged solely by how substantial they feel in your hand, this one would be off to a strong start. The design, though, is where things get… creative. Two magnetic beads “orbit” the central stone: the outer bead marks the hour, and the inner bead marks the minute. Once you know that, it’s easy enough to read, but it’s not exactly intuitive. My brain kept insisting the bead farther from the center should be the minute marker—because that’s how clocks have worked since clocks existed. It’s a bit like someone rearranged the furniture in a familiar room: everything’s still there, just not where you expect it. The listing also says, “Press the central Earth globe to activate the magnetic orbital system,” which sounds very dramatic. In reality, the central bead sits firmly in place—it doesn’t move on its own—but you can spin it by running a finger over it. It’s secure, but it rotates in its little socket for reasons that remain a mystery. A built‑in fidget feature, perhaps, though to what end is unclear. What it definitely does not do is activate anything. At around $80 at the time of my order, I personally don’t feel the watch delivers enough beyond novelty to justify the price. The build quality is good, but the design choices make it feel more like a conversation piece than a practical timekeeper. I genuinely appreciate the attempt to create something distinctive and eye‑catching, but for my tastes, this one doesn’t quite stick the landing. That said, if you genuinely like the aesthetics and don’t mind the learning curve of its unconventional display, you’ll probably be satisfied with the build quality—it’s the strongest part of the watch.
