From Blumhouse and the director of The Invisible Man comes a modern take on the classic monster story, Wolf Man. Seeking a fresh start, Blake moves his wife Charlotte and daughter Ginger to his childhood home in rural Oregon. Upon arrival, they encounter a brutal animal attack, forcing the family to barricade themselves inside the house as an unseen creature prowls the perimeter. As the night wears on, Blake's injuries worsen, and his bizarre behavior turns monstrous. To protect her daughter, Charlotte must decide whether to confront the danger outside or the growing horror within. Review: Great movie! - Love the picture and Dolby Atmos sound on this 4k movie. Review: Horror Movies - I love old Universal Horror movies, movies that used to scare me as a kid. The Wolfman is still, to this day, my favorite monster. It wasn't that scary to me, but it was worth adding to my movie collection

An all-new idea for a timeless monster.
Great movie. It’s simple and although they tried to go the “elevated” route, it’s still a good story and the characters are all likeable. Not sure why anyone would expect another 1941 wolf man movie, that one has its place in our hearts and a new take was welcome, imo. Hollywood does so many carbon copies and they almost always lack any kind of creativity, story wise. We need creators who will take a chance and give us a glimpse from their minds eye of the character. Someone mentioned the dialogue being clunky or cringe, not at all the case. Every piece of dialogue in the movie served an exact purpose and was as precise as possible. Firstly it doesn’t have that much dialogue to begin with. Secondly, it’s a small family and yes, they say they love each other. Maybe that makes some people uncomfortable, not sure. If you’re looking for action, it depends on what kind of action you like. This movie is non-stop tension after the first 10 minutes and doesn’t let up. I found myself looking in the woods, in the background, in the shadows, listening for sounds, etc. it’s a very paranoid presentation. I feared for the safety of everyone involved. We had a reason to care about each one. The pacing is rapid. We never veer off from the building story, with introduction of side characters or wasted scenes, moments of levity, it’s just constant. It’s a persistent growing threat and these three people are bound to either end up victims or miraculously escape their fate. I didn’t like the jump scares. They’re stupid and cheap. But they did such a great job building this atmosphere of dread and kept me wondering when the next immediate threat would present itself, that I forgave the jump scares. For the actual product, I opted for the Steelbook because the cover art is so paranoid. It’s embossed and glossy, absolutely a cool addition to my movie rack.

OK movie. Outstanding 4K transfer.
I saw this movie in the theaters and was slightly disappointed by it. But, it’s a werewolf movie so I had to own it. And if you’re gonna own a werewolf movie… You need to have it on 4K. The quality of the movie transfer itself onto 4K is outstanding and on my 85 inch TV it totally rocks! The 4K disk gets two thumbs up from me.

Not Your Typical Werewolf Film
This is not your typical Werewolf flick, I would say it's more of a feral man with animal features. I just watched it tonight for the 1st time, I was hesitant in purchasing it, mainly the reason I bought it because the title, Wolf Man, I'm a Lycanthrope fanatic sort of speak. I don't have any photos of my 4K movie, It's somewhere in my storage box, I watched it on streaming via the tv. The transformation of the Wolfman is pretty long, not like what we've seen in other movies, example An American Werewolf In London, The Wolfman. What this movie has is, a tragic story of a son becoming like his father, in life and affliction. I found it sad really, but otherwise enjoyable, I won't lie there was some disturbing scenes imo. nothing too outrageous though but bloody and gory perhaps. I don't want to give them away, spoilers, you can find it on YouTube or see it for yourself. Overall I would recommend this movie to Werewolves fans like myself, but if you're expecting something like An American Werewolf In London, or The Wolfman (2010), or The Howling, this might not be for you. I will say I like the different take on Lycanthropy, although the word isn't used, at least I didn't hear it in the film. The beginning states, it's a Native American tale, about someone having a wolf face, a curse. This movie does take some cues from other iterations. I'll have to check out the special features when I have a chance, not sure if I'll see it again though.

Surprise! Something new becomes one of my favorites!
I love werewolf stories and films! I wasn't too sure that a new take would be any good so it was after a recommendation that I purchased this one. Was I wrong! I love being surprised by a new take, seeing things from a different perspective and most importantly HEARING things differently! The sound in this should be Oscar worthy-very chilling and coming at you from everywhere-give this one a view especially if you have a reasonably decent sound system.

Wolf is a brilliant film
I’m a huge fan of the old-fashioned Lon Chaney jr of the wolf man. The problem with this film is that people were expecting it to be something like that and it’s totally different but then it’s only unique way. I was very pleasantly surprised. I really did enjoy it so if you’re looking for a remake of the original or the one made by Anthony Hopkins you’ll be disappointed if you go in there just trying to see a good wolf movie. You’ll love it. Personally myself I think it’s underrated. I think it’s really fantastic piece of work.
