Buy Blood of My Monster: Special Edition Print: 2 (Monster Trilogy) Special Print ed. by Kent, Rina (ISBN: 9781685450908) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: New fan! - Rina Kent is a new-to-me author, and I can honestly say I’m completely blown away. This trilogy was my first taste of her writing, and I’m already hooked. Her storytelling is masterful—filled with intricate connections between characters and storylines that span across her books. The twists and turns had me constantly guessing, and not once did I feel bored. If this is what her other books are like, I’m in for an incredible reading journey. Kirill and Sasha’s story was the perfect introduction to her work. From the very first page, I couldn’t put it down. I’m so glad I waited until the trilogy was complete because those cliffhangers in books 1 and 2 would have been too much to handle! Kirill was everything you’d want in a mafia hero—possessive, obsessive, and completely devoted to Sasha. His monologues had me laughing out loud at times, showing a side of him I didn’t expect. The story had it all: intense military and mafia action, a found family element, the one-bed trope, heartfelt groveling, and those unforgettable “That’s my wife!” moments that melted my heart. While there was a lot of miscommunication between Kirill and Sasha, their reasons for holding back made sense, and it only made their eventual reunion more satisfying. By book 3, we got to see a completely different side of Kirill as he stopped at nothing to win Sasha back. His intensity didn’t waver, but his softer, more vulnerable side shone through beautifully. The ending left me feeling so fulfilled—seeing Sasha finally embrace her true self and Kirill reveal the depth of his love was everything I could’ve hoped for. I can’t wait to get stuck into more of her books this year! Review: 4.25 MMC surprised me - Having read the previous books I didn't think that I would like the MMC however I thought he was a strong character from the beginning of the book. Sasha is doing what she can for her family and the cliffhanger this book ends on is unfortunately frustrating but I cannot wait for the next book. Our FMC is conflicted throughout the book she put herself at risk by joining the military,.then falling for our MMC and then from trying to get information on his dad to exact revenge. This book essentially features some complex familial relationship as well as the development of a love story. Straight onto the next book.

Well we are certainly on an epic journey . Sasha and Kirril have a slow burn to their relationship . Lot of interest in this story . But it does get frustrating at times . But I got to end and what a cliff hanger . But the next book is downloaded and ready for me to read . Highly Recommended .

Mafia wars
Another start to a fantastic dark series from Rina, Sasha our FMC is pretending to be a man for reasons we don’t fully understand yet, hopefully we will discover more soon. I’m sure her nefarious uncle is plotting behind her back and keeping her in the dark. Kiril is a charismatic leader who plane three moves ahead of everyone else. Love that he sees Sasha being bullied, recognises she’s a female and decides to rescue her. He gradually becomes obsessed with her as he knows she has secrets other than her gender and is jealous of any other guy getting close to her. This book is dark as you’d expect from out dark Queen and has NC so if this is a trigger for you. So good to see Adrian Volkov appearing in this story, always one of my favourite characters. That cliffhanger tho, really hope everything works out, definitely can’t wait for the next book, a stunning start to a new series.

okay
overall it was ok. generally i like rina kents books. i liked the premise but i found their relationship a bit rushed into smut mid way through the book. i would have liked a build up, more tension. seemed a bit rushed towards the end. i dont think i would get the next book. additionally, the fact that the ML wheres glasses was talked about alot.

this is such a great twist on a mafia romance
I have read this book in 6h and picked is up before my new book arrives tomorrow as a stop gap after reading the sample a few weeks ago. Well …wow what a great story Sasha is strong, fiery and determined to find out who killed her family and will stop at nothing even pretending to be a man and joining the Russian army. In strolls kirill a brooding made mad who sent himself to Russia away from his family and responsibilities as heir to the family “business”. This book is great, engaging and the plot is so good. So many little twists and games. Spice is great tension and kirill figures she is a woman pretty quick but I’m surprised no one else has caught on or have they. Plot📜📜📜📜📜 Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ (it doesn’t really get going until 65% in but this is only book1, and it doesn’t detract from the story) Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unusual setting for romance
This is an unusual setting for a romance but the author is experienced enough to make it work and it does! There is no physical comfort to this love story, it's cold (loads of Russian snow) and hard and miserable! So if you're looking for luxury in a tropical setting forget it! Rina seems to like her characters to suffer physically! Anyway there's a lot going on and it's a slow burning tale that takes a while for you to get into. All I can say is it's unusual but I liked it and it's worth a read! I can highly recommend this story.

I've always had a bit of a love-hate relationship with Rina's books, but this just might be up there as a fav dark mafia romance. I was hooked from the start right until the cliffhanger shattered me. I love Kirill in all his dark, gloomy, and forbidden glory. Sasha is such a badass even though even I want to tell her to shut up sometimes 🤣 These two are fire together, and I can't wait to get right back into their story. After nearly her whole family is massacred, she's forced to go into hiding and hide her identity. With the help of her uncle, she enlists in the army hiding behind the mask of a man to try and find out who put the hit on her family. The russian army is no place for a woman, especially one pretending to be a man. When her unit comes into contact with a special ops unit at their base, she's saved by the Captain. A man who's eyes are just as black as his soul but being in his unit would ensure her safety so she sets out to make it happen only to discover he's know her true gender from the beginning. Despite the fact that her uncle tells her he and his family are bad news, she doesn't change her course. But when the man who sat at her families table days before she lost them all steps foot on their base it turns her whole world upside down especially when she finds out he's the father of her new captain. She's determined to find out if he's involved too, no matter how much danger it puts her in, but will she go too far on her quest for revenge and end up on the wrong side whilst seeking justice for her family.

I can't even explain to you how much I absolutely, completely LOVED this book and its characters. I'm just in AWE, in love and satiated after finishing the first part of this story (and yes, in shock and angst after that brutal cliffhanger!). Right now I would tell you without a doubt that this is my favorite book lol Yeah, I must admit in the beginning I felt a bit put off by Sasha being in the military, dressed as a man and no one notices?! (except from Kirill, of course), but then, I really enjoyed the whole thing and how this didn’t prevent Sasha from being/wanting to be/feel like a woman nor the growing attraction between them. It was actually a great stepping stone to tons of funny and... interesting moment between them. I LOVED the combination of military men + mafia men. I just, can't. I can't believe how perfect this combination is until I came across this book and, girl, KIRILL. OH MY GOD. This man is EVERYTHING. SO serious, competent, intense, masculine, beastly, strong, dominant, confident, sexy. Everything he DOES AND SAY. How could Sasha ever resist him?! I loved reading how his mind worked, and how we could clearly differentiate between each point of view because of how different the two main characters are. THE WAY SASHA SEES HIM AND DESCRIBES HIM was a turn on in itself. The descriptions and observations were so vivid, they painted such a real picture of this man that yeah, it took my breath away and I felt just like Sasha, unable to not "look" at him. And Sasha! I can easily say that she's my favorite female character ever. I just LOVED how strong she was, in the mental and resilient sense of the word (and I'm sure physically too, if she could keep up with a military regime nonetheless), but also how sassy (without being annoying) and feminine and lovely! And that, regardless of Kirill's stoicness and distance, she chooses (can't help herself?) to still be vulnerable in front of him (cries, shows and expresses her desires). I loooove her! It's truly been a while since I read such a perfect combination of a female character, one that doesn’t need to belittle men to be/feel strong and one that gives in to her... femininity too. I don't know, JUST READ IT. So... the two of them together? PERFECTION. Them, the story, their story, all the other characters and drama. Totally recommend it!

I have been fascinated by Kirill and Sasha for a long while, and in classic Rina Kent fashion, she totally brings it for the start of their story. The plot immediately intrigues, and having the POV of these two is so satisfying. On top of that, we have action, suspense, and incredible chemistry. Fantastic read, and I am so eager for more.
