The Giant Book of Christian Sheet Music: Easy Piano

great book of mostly playable (for those of us who have low to intermediate skill and talent.) arrangements. I did find 2 that I feel confident that i can practice to play in time. I do wish that there were more examples of the music in the books for sale. it would help us to make better decisions as to whether the purchase is worth our time and money. I do wish, also that the pages would lie flat -it is so difficult to keep pages flat in order to see all the notes and signage necessary to practice and play. Overall, i like the book - it has many great songs that are available to several intermediate skill levels. I only wish there were more “low intermediate “ levels.

I am no musician and just getting back to playing piano. The pages themselves are a nice size and easy to read. As to the arrangements, to me they sound good. I have had "easy" arrangements in past that didn't always sound good. I haven't played all in this book yet but so far very satisfied.

Twenty-three duplicates found also in the Top 50 Christian Hits and Top 50 Praise and Worship - that's 23 out of 33 in GBCSM found in the other two books. I know it must be difficult deciding what songs to include in the book but I would like to see less duplication in the series. Songs are written either in the Key of C, G, or F. Most of the bass notes are very simple - one or two notes. The songs are either 3-5 pages long and with the way the books are bounds it is difficult to turn the pages and then have the pages stay open. Perhaps with wear this would be less difficult but I am concerned about how well he the binding will hold up. I am glad to see that the lyrics are included with each song and the print is large enough to make it easy to read. I would say these books are more for an intermediate in that the bass notes may not line up with the corresponding treble notes. In another words, the left hand may be playing a different rhythm than the right.. Thankfully, the melody is found in the treble cleff and not on a vocalist line which is found in many other songbooks. Chords designations are also listed for guitar or can used to supplement the left hand. I am also thankful for these books being available and work done by Carol Tornquist in arranging these songs.

Great songs, great book! Not exactly super easy, but challenging for the beginning (or rusty) player. Easy enough to be challenging, though. My 10 year old has had a year of piano and was able to get the treble part of a couple of them through sight reading. Love it!

I love this book! It's got a great variety of Christian artists from Chris Tomlin, Steven Curtis Chapman, etc. I only wish it had Lauren Daigle or Jeremy Camp. The arrangements are fairly easy too, not too many sharps or flats. Appropriate for an intermediate player such as myself.

It's more advanced than the title suggests. I am an advanced beginner/intermediate adult player, learning via the Simply Piano app & am up to Intermediate IV level in the app, but still not skilled enough to play any of the songs in this book. I can struggle through a few, but not well. I am going to try and find a similar book that actually is "easy", as I'm frustrated I still can't play any of these beautiful worship songs still (I bought this book 2 years ago when I was just starting out).

Love the variety. Also easy to play but a skilled pianist is also able to add additional accompaniment
