I am one of those people that tend to over research and overthink sometimes the simplest things. I was concerned about buying a cheap cat due to review saying that they really don't work. I hummed and hard and contemplated going with a bigger name brand for a similar style of cat but at the end of the day I personally couldn't see any bloody difference between them and figured they're all made in China anyways so what value is there in buying a more expensive unit. At the end of the day I settled with this cheap one off of amazon. I wanted to make sure I got one with the heat shield although I really question whether it really does anything because it's pretty thin and is pretty much attached right to the cat with no space for airflow. In any case the quality on us was pretty darn good. It would have been a little nicer if the inlet and Outlet were size differently so that you don't have to use band clamps or weld your pipe to it however that's pretty standard when it comes to these sort of things anyways so it's not out of the norm. I finally got it on last week and all I can say is I love it! I put it on a 1991 Toyota 4Runner with custom exhaust and headers and was not happy with my original exhaust setup. This took away the burning sensation and the rich smell of fuel that used to come in the back window when it was down and it also got rid of the terrible V6 rasp. I now have a moderately sounding vehicle with some really nice low Rumble and I can enjoy it with the windows down! My vehicle is OBD1 and so I can't say that anyone that requires these for emission purposes would get what they need you out of it but for those naysayers this is doing the job nicely and if it needs to be replaced in a year or so it was only 50 bucks versus the $600 that I would have otherwise had to spend for carb certified one which I don't need in Canada. I only drive the vehicle a couple times a year and maybe put on a few hundred kilometers so I'm super happy at what I got for the price
