BIG sand/silt screen for whole-house and larger water-filter uses
My well is in fractured rock. It gets silt. The rock has iron. Our bath-water ran brown.A wound-string filter cleaned the water good, but clogged in a month. Studying the muck, I saw that much of it was big enough to catch on a screen.I added a "wash-down" screen filter in front. This greatly extended the life of the string-filter by catching the larger stuff. In good months the screen would "wash-down" quickly and well. But the well gives clumps of dirt and sometimes the screen would not wash-down, I had to disassemble and scrub. The TwistIIClean has a better self-cleaning action. Water flow is reversed to blow dirt off from the inside of the screen. Large bottom port carries the crud to drain. Very easy. Very authoritative. (Be careful how you plumb the bottom port-- it flows a LOT of water.)While my main run is 3/4" pipe, I adapted-up to this huge 1.5" size to get the larger screen, to catch more dirt between flushings.Very happy so far.Note that this item comes-with two adapters to suit 1.5" PVC pipe or adapters. If I had known that, a couple 1.5"-3/4" bushings would have been cheaper than the threaded couplings and bushings I used in ignorance.

Good product
excellent product, slower than expected shipping. Stops my pop up sprinkler heads from clogging up and needing cleaning with water from the lake

You need three hands
You need three hands to pull the filter screen from the element. You have ears on both sides of the screen that have to be lifted out, with out snapping them off, and at the same time wiggle the screen filter free. I cuss the manufacturer every time I have to pull and clean the screen.

It's a good blow down filter.
Had to replace the one I already had due to the big Texas ice storm. One problem with the clear plastic sleeve over the filter is that it is slick and tapered making it difficult to unscrew. The filter itself has to be removed and scrubbed with an acid and a small brush to get it clean. Otherwise it works fine.

Ease of use
Great filter, Good quality and easy to clean.

Expensive but worth it.
The is product is excellent though check your pressure and how dirty your water is. High pressure systems force dirt into the mesh in a way that can only be cleaned by a brush, twist to clean works for most dirt on the surface.

Good Filtering and Easy to Vlean
We have a well and have been using this filter for about three weeks now. It's been doing a very good job collecting iron particles and it's very easy to clean. We connected a hose to the bottom of the filter so it flushes the iron particles directly into a drain.

Stay away from this cheaply made POC.
6 months in. Cheaply made. Leaks. Red latch that holds it closed is broken. Currently holding this together with zip ties while nobody wants to honor a warranty. Do not put this in your water system. Stay away.
