Does the mist that comes out fall so the below surface get wet. We have alot of hardwood and dont want to reck it?

I do not have a problem with mist soaking the floor below, which happens to be carpet. I utilize the mist extension tube and monitor the room humidity and adjust the humidifier output to keep the room at 40%. I trust this helps in your decision.
