A World of Endless Wonder
My husband and I got addicted to Warehouse 13 when we discovered it on Netflix a year after it had ceased production. We now refer to each other as "Pete" and "Myka" in appropriate situations because we do recognize ourselves in these characters. And I wanted to be Claudia! Oh, well.Anyway, Season Three still has our intrepid adventurers scouring the globe for artifacts, trying to protect the rest of us from dangers we didn't even know existed. I probably liked this season best because some of the guest stars were Star Trek heavies: Rene Auberjonois, Jeri Ryan, and Kate Mulgrew. Lindsay Wagner also made a few appearances, and Anthony Michael Hall is the big bad guy that's set up all season. Season Three also brought ATF Agent Steve Jinks, played by Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy Olsen of Smallville fame) into the Warehouse. Also, Warehouse 13 existed in the same universe as Eureka (another SyFy show on at the same time) and there were several crossover episodes. One of the funniest was this season's. Look for a young Steven Yeun (Walking Dead) in that episode! Finally, with H.G. Wells reappearance, we get a peek inside Warehouse 12. The "Artie" of Warehouse 12 is Caturanga, played by Erick Avari (The Mummy; Stargate SG:1; Babylon 5), and his puzzles can literally kill you.Warehouse 13 really hit its stride by this season. The audience is ready to jump in and try to figure out what the dangerous artifacts are in each episode, while the overarching seasonal story is slowly developed throughout all episodes. I don't recommend it for kids younger than 9 or 10, though; kids that age don't really understand the idea behind the artifacts, so much of it goes over their heads and makes it uninteresting. Otherwise, fantastic work by a cast and crew of a show that was taken off the air far too soon.

This is BRILLIANT--and it's only got ONE MORE SEASON
When Season 1 happened, I watched it, I liked it, but I had no sense of what was going to happen. I loved the story ideas: history/SF combination was well done, I've always loved Saul Rubinek and the connection to his "family" is amazingly handled. Most of all, I loved seeing all the personalities I've met on TV and done well. My only objection was that the CGI special effects looked cheap. And then it went away and I was mad, but I wrote an email and let it go. I'm used to SyFy having to mess with what I like by now.And...It came back. Better effects, incredible story arcs, answers to mysteries leading to more mysteries, the by-now traditional appearance of defining SF and fantasy references and actors, social issues addressed, and paired with Eureka. My family got into it, everyone loves it. Eureka has left us, but these two series pair perfectly. Although it has scary components and might not be for the really young kids or the extremely easily creeped, this series has something for most types, from the high intellectual to the hacker to the social worker to the action fan to the history professor to the generally entertained. Here's a show that has Rodenberry and Asimov, and Sagan smiling with pride at what their kids are doing.

An exciting show worth watching with great characters and spots of humor.
A friend recommended Warehouse 13 after we finished watching Eureka. At first we weren't sure we'd enjoy it but after a few episodes we were hooked by the artifacts, the warehouse, and the team. Each personality on the show was like someone either you knew or you wished you knew. We liked how the team worked together even when they were at odds with each other. No matter how intense the situation, there was always humor and, may I say it, love and respect. It's a rare show that isn't about sex or filled with words that would make your auntie blush. Sometimes a little crazy but always exciting. The Christmas specials were a hoot but I think our favorite was the one where Pete and Myka traveled into a book in the making. We did not like the episode where Fargo gets them involved, literally, in a video game. This is a show worth spending evenings with over a few weeks. Wish there were more like it. Oh, and never, never try to use an artifact for good. It often backfires!

Pete Gets the Brush -- A Christmas Saga
Literally. He touches the brush belonging to the man who wrote the material on which the movie It's A Wonderful Life is based and Pete ceases to exist. He has no ID. No one knows who he is and worse, the former evil head of the Warehouse, MacPherson, is back and in charge of Warehouse 13 again. He figures Pete touched and artifact and knows too much and is too dangerous so he sends his people out to get it any way the can. Pete then goes in and collects Myka, Artie and Claudia, all of whom don't know him and give him a hard time. Once they are banded together they take on MacPherson at the Warehouse. And yes, this is a Christmas saga, Warehouse 13 style and for me on the best episodes ever. It's got everyone except H.G. Wells and Jinx. Peter meeting Myka for the "first time" is hilarious. Artie meeting Pete for the first time is compelling.
