Hydrating Anti Dandruff Shampoo, 1% Pyrithione Zinc Dandruff Treatment With Ceramides, Niacinamide & Hyaluronic Acid, Helps Eliminate Flakes & Provides Itchy Scalp Relief, Sulfate Free, 12 Oz

I've used a bunch of dandruff shampoos over the years. This is the latest promising option that isn't excessively expensive and works well enough. I use it about once every other day or two. Too much washing messes with my hair balance but I find if I am active outside, that's less of a concern but I still tend to alternate between this and a less intense shampoo. It has a very light scent out of the bottle, somewhat citrusy. Feels more like a medium-thick lotion than typical sticky shampoo. I apply, let it sit a little bit, then rinse and apply conditioner. From what I can tell, my scalp is less red and itchy and flakes very much reduced. Patches are gone, hair is soft, and I don't need to worry about everyday snow. It may cost more than say Head & Shoulders but I do think it's worth it. But everyone is different so what works for me may not work as well for someone else. As of this review posting, I am almost done with one bottle and have a second ready on hand. Sometimes product ingredients change especially when newly launched (I think my first bottle was the first launch cycle) so should I notice a change in efficacy, I will update this review.

I’ve been using this anti-dandruff shampoo for a few weeks and the results are noticeable. From the first washes, it helped reduce flakes and itchiness, leaving my scalp feeling clean and refreshed. It lathers well, rinses easily, and doesn’t dry out my hair. With continued use, my scalp feels healthier and my hair looks softer and more manageable. It has a pleasant, mild scent and works well for regular use. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely buy it again.

Cerave is my go to brand of shampoo because I like a lot that they don’t put all the extra bs in it, the ingredient list is long but free of the worst of the worst chemicals like sulfates, parabens, and other bad harmful oils, they make lots of different variants based on your needs which I like but all do a good job. I previously ordered the regular gentle hydration, and this time I ordered this one with zinc pyrith and it’s definitely even better! I don’t struggle bad at all with dander (especially visible) but we all have some natural flaking point being it’s nice to known I’m using something that is actively inhibiting the growth of fungus ( the cause of dander) as well as restoring scalp and hair protective barriers, and working as anti inflammatory and anti itch to our scalp. Most of my itch comes from dryness not dander because of the ridiculous weather changes drying my scalp the hell out and this shampoo helps effectively hydrate and Remoisturize which helps keep me from itching. I use this with rosemary mint hair oil and the two have done me wonders for a VARIETY of things. 10/10 would recommend this product.

This shampoo works well for reducing dandruff and calming an itchy scalp. It feels gentle and doesn’t dry out my hair like some other anti-dandruff products. The ingredients seem good for scalp health too. The only downside is that it takes a few washes to see noticeable results, so you need to be consistent. Overall, a solid option.

I’ve purchased this dandruff shampoo from CeraVe several times because it truly works wonders. From the first few uses, I noticed a clear reduction in flakes and itching. It cleans my scalp very well without leaving my hair dry or harsh. I also like that it’s gentle and suitable for regular use, which keeps my scalp balanced and healthy over time. My hair still feels soft, fresh, and manageable after every wash. This is definitely one of the best dandruff shampoos I’ve tried, and I will keep repurchasing it. Highly recommend!

Nizoral is really stronger when it comes to dandruff shampoos but it really dries out the hair. I switch it up with CeraVe's since its shampoo is much more hydrating and gentle on hair. I see it as a good "maintenance" shampoo and worth the couple of extra dollars. CeraVe also has a great conditioner with .5% PZ if you don't have fine/low-density hair (it's a bit thick).

This shampoo works really well for me, especially in the winter when my scalp gets dry and itchy. It helps reduce flakes and makes my scalp feel a lot more comfortable after washing. I like that it doesn’t feel harsh and still leaves my hair feeling clean without stripping it. Overall, it’s been a reliable option for managing dryness and irritation.

Eh not the best. I expected more from this well known brand. A Dove dry scalp shampoo actually works better for me. With this I still have dry scalp. Its thick and creamy but no fragrance and it doesn't feel like its doing anything. I won't buy this again.
