Travel Voltage Converter Adapter Power Step Down 220V to 110V 2000W with 2 Outlets and 2 Smart USB Charging Ports Black

I bought this for my trip to Europe and unfortunately found that it did not work for most of the things I needed to plug into it. It would charge my phone but when I tried to use my hair dryer or straightener, they did not work. I have to admit, this was very frustrating and I needed to purchase another one when I was there. Perhaps it would work better in other countries but I have only tried using it in Portugal and Spain. It's too bad because I love the compact design and it is made quite well.

I bought this converter for use in South America during spring 2018. When I hooked up the cell phone charger to the plug in outlets on the converter, the phone shook and sparks were seen where the converter plugged into the outlet. However, it could charge phones when I plugged them into the USB ports. I did see later that my phone charger could convert 220V to 110V on its own. I also plugged in an electric toothbrush into the outlets on the converter. The toothbrush could not convert 220V to 110V on its own. The toothbrush did not recharge through the converter, and when getting home, I found that the toothbrush would no longer charge at all. Thus, the converter was of no use to me. Before buying a converter, check your phone/appliances to see if they are able to convert 220V to 110V. Except for the electric toothbrush, the other electrical items I had with me could convert 220V to 110V on their own. The converter will allow you to charge multiple phones at the same time using the USB ports, but there are probably cheaper ways to do this than buying this converter. Interestingly, I was going to write a review when I returned from my trip in April 2018, but the converter was no longer available on Amazon.

Great! Even i think it is a little bit expensive at the first time, I just give a try. Right now, definitely WORTH IT.. I truly like the design of USB charging port. It is so convient that can charge my phone and iPad at the same time. And what the important is, it organize the bunch wires nicely for me.

Had to return the original "boxed" item as it arrived broken. The replacement worked just fine. Used in Prague, Germany and France.

I am just getting back from Turkey and I purchased this adapter just for this trip knowing that Istanbul used both different output and plugs than in America. I had the Adapter plugged up all 13 days and it did not get hot and I was using it for my Mac Laptop, Camera batteries, cellphone, and two portable charges. Since it comes with most of the Worlds plug adapters, I will be taking this on more trips with me.

This adapter/converter is a POS. It is the worst purchase we have ever made from Amazon. It did not come with any instructions. There were too many plugs. It worked once and then it blew. We were in England, Ireland, and Scotland for two week. We had to borrow the tour manager’s adapter for my husband’s CPAP machine. Thank goodness the hotels had USB ports so we could charge our phones. We bought this damn thing so we could charge everything and use it for CPAP machine and hair dryer. Too bad we can’t give zero stars.

We had lots of problems with the plug in part. Things just wouldn’t charge. I purchased one, and a family member purchased one. We both had the same problem.

We ordered this for our trip and it was amazing.This is a nice compact converter/adapter for travel.Charges my phone super fast.Highly recommended.
