Emergency Medicine Bible
This book has everything you could possibly want or need to know about every topic imaginable. Great reference, although not exactly a quick reference. Very dense. But when you want to know the ins and outs about a disease process and how to work it up and treat it, this is the book for you.

excellent reference!
This book is very complete. It is pretty big and heavy but very good for looking up and understanding the different disease processes. I am in paramedic school and always had questions about different diseases. One of my instructors suggest I purchase this to have as a resource throughout my career.

Tintinalli's Emergency Medicine
The text itself if excellent, the definitive text on ED practice. However, there are some drawbacks to the etext. There are some tables and figures that are mislabeled. There is no link to the figures from the mention of them in the text. There are no page numbers and no indication of subtitles either in the Table of Contents or in the chapter headings.

READ THIS BEFORE U BUY
I seen this book at the book store and my boy alway getting hurt and costing me money when he do,,,,So i bought this book and its full of pictures and word,,,,,, Them video's on the disk that come with it,,,,,,,,, But this is whats done fascinated me the most,,,,,, It say that metabolism interactions can occur when a medication decreases or increases the metabolism of another agent and that, particular attention need to be made to them medications that are metabolized by the CYTOCHROME-P450 ENZYME Family. I think they full of bull but they say that there are two mechanisms for cytochrome-P450–mediated interactions: inhibition & induction. Im always taking metronidazole and warfarin @ the same time,,,,I'm all like you's full of it Judy Tintinalli,,,,,I'm going to stick with Rosen.

Very poorly done eBook
The kindle eBook version of Tintinalli's is very very poorly setup and very difficult to use. Do NOT buy it for the following reasons.1. Diagrams and tables are often far away from text. There is no way to click on the link to quickly view them and get back to the text.2. Finding content is slow and tedious. If you want to read about hyperkalemia, be prepared to scroll through a large table of contents or worse do a search and wait for 5-6 minutes as it tries to find every iteration of hyperkalemia in the textbook. Basically, the search function is not intelligent.3. Tables and figures are often small and become blurry when you click on them.4. Content presentation is poor. They treat a medical textbook like they treat a fiction book. We read textbooks VERY differently than a fiction book. It is not a linear story line, there is a lot of going back and forth. The kindle is just not designed to handle that.5. Highlights and notes are often not synced across devices.6. Syncing to the furthest page read is an annoying feature. Instead of realizing that in a textbook you will read separate chapters at different times, it assumes a linear format and always asks if you want to sync to the further page read, this is an annoying feature and goes back to point #4.Basically, do NOT buy eBooks on kindle in general, and especially NOT THIS ONE!

Kindle edition needs working index
Tintinalli's was a "go to" emergency medicine reference during my training years over a decade ago...I purchased the 7th edition in it's Kindle form a month ago; and am happy with its content. It is a formidable reference, over 2000 pages in its printed form. Such a vast reference really needs an index, especially if it is to be used at the point of care by an overworked clinician. In electronic form, the index exists without hyperlinks or page location markers, making this reference unsearchable by this method.I would give 5 stars if its index was hyperlinked, but for now I can't give it more than 3.
