Marvellous Bok
Outstanding story of the Cavern from the ever reliable pen of Spencer Leigh. All the detail you could dream of as a historian and written in an entertaining way if you are just a fan of the music. Paints a vivid picture of the Mersey Sound right back to when it all started.

Cavern, The Most Famous Club in the World
I already have the Cavern book The Best of Cellars and I wasn't really sure about buying this one. I was pleased I did, I spent many enjoyable hours watching the Beatles at the Cavern, the snippets in this really brought back lots of memories. A great read, couldn't put it down.

what a turkey
I used to go to the cavern in the 1960's. This book captures none of the magic of the cellar club that gave us the beatles. It is badly written and the photographic reproduction is of very poor quality. A few years ago I did purchase a fantastic book about this club called the best of cellars by Phil Thompson. I would recommend the Thompson book to anyone who wants to get a feel for what it was like to go to the original cabin and give the Spencee Leigh book a wide berth. It would be a waste of space on your bookshelf.
