perfect!
I think this brand is the best and you can't beat the price. I've tried cheaper ones from the grocery store before but they didn't do the job. I use this for certain hair treatment products and euthymol toothpaste and it does well with both. The thickness of the key part is what makes it work so well and it hasn't rusted or broken so very durable so far. super happy!

There's just one problem
The key is fine, works like the keys I grew up with and is very solid. The problem is, and I didn't realize this until I went to use it, today's toothpaste tubes are made of plastic, not metal, so they don't hold their shape. You can wind the key around the empty part to squeeze out the toothpaste, but the tube springs back into its original shape as soon as you let go, instead of staying coiled around the key like the older metallic tubes. So the key is fine (hence the 5 stars) but today's plastic materials defeat the purpose.

Glad to know that some things never change!
Great thickness, strong metal, and very easy to use. Worth the money. This tube roller is exactly what I remember from when I was a child. Works exactly as advertised. BUT...remember that today's tubes of toothpaste or other "creams" mostly come in plastic tubes. The plastic tubes will roll up and push up the contents toward the cap. When you let go of the key, it unrolls. If it is a metal tube, the roll will stay rolled as tight as you rolled it. End result, both plastic and metal tubes, you got the contents to the top where it should be and you won't waste the contents. Worth every penny. Buy more than one if you use lots of things that come in tubes. In todays economy, things that come in tubes are expensive and you don't want to paste any of it!

It unrolls on vinyl tubes
Ease of use: fine, doesn't hold too well on vinyl tubes; size: good; color: good; use: if it held the vinyl tube closed it would be great, but it unravels easily; use: rolls up very well; value: okay durability: excellent; color: what can you say, it's a piece of metal. It will roll up fine and push the toothpaste out, which is what I need it for, but it immediately unrolls when released. I would prefer it kept the tube rolled up for the next use.

Great for getting every last bit!
LOVE this little key. It really does scrape every bit out, very convenient to keep around. My only regret is not buying the 2 pack for a couple of dollars more, so I could have one in each bathroom. Very effective in getting the job done, it's a bit small, but as long as you put it somewhere in a drawer I can't see it getting lost too easily.

Simple is sometimes best
I have a more elaborate tube squeezer but hate putting it on. This key is simple and gets the job done.

Closed end is stronger, but can limit options
You have to look hard to see the working length of the tube. Does NOT work well with Sensodyne 6.5 oz, however, it DOES work with Crest Complete 8.2oz The Sensodyne 6.5 oz can BARELY be made to work if you trim the corners to 45 degree angle. Whether the tube will hold its shape is up to the tube material: plastic will unroll, and need to be rolled up each time, but aluminum tubes, like my catโs toothpaste, will retain the rolled up shape.
