Buy it! Extremely satisfied!
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. This is my second time purchasing this exact pump. The first one lasted a good while and I tried to cheap out and get the 1500gph, don’t do it. We had this one and it kept the water crystal clear and the only reason we had to replace it was because the button broke so we couldn’t power it on anymore. It lasted a good 6 years. I did my research, because most intex pumps are more expensive than the no name brands. There is a reason, the cord are longer, they have GFCI, timer and very powerful. The reviews on the others made me decide to spend the extra money. I am so glad I did. We went a week without a pump, waiting for this one to come in. I should have taken a before and after picture. It was a green swampy looking color and I swear within a few hours it was already a pale clear green. Without shock or chlorine being added yet! The next day it was a light aqua color, still without shock or chlorine. Super impressed!

Fantastic Filter & REALLY WORKS!!!!!
This sand filter is spectacular!! We have extremely hard well water with a lot of iron in it. This is the second year I used this sand filter, and I took pictures this time to show how awesome it works! The first picture shows Sunday evening after I filled the pool with well water and added two jugs of the liquid chlorine. The second picture I took is from the next evening before I used my Intex pool vacuum to suck up the iron residue on the bottom of the pool. The third picture is from Tuesday morning of the third day of running the sand filter. Crystal clear and beautiful water! I would have reviewed this last year but didn’t take pictures showing how well this sand filter works. Simply amazing!! Kudos to whoever came up with this design, you don’t even have to add sand each year! Once you set it up you are good to go. The backwash on the filter is easy to use, does an amazing job getting the iron out. The rinse feature cleans the sand so it’s ready to filter again. I’m so glad my niece recommended this fantastic filter!!

Amazing!
I bought this for my 14x42 inch pool after my cousin advised a stronger pump upgrade. And let me tell ya, after reading the manual. I was so scared to use it haha. It sound like I would destroy the hole city. But after watching some YouTube videos that eases my mind. And I am just in loooove with this. I used the filter balls rather than sand and its amazing! When I initially filled the pool about half way inhadnt added the chlorine tablet yet. But as soon as I dis my water turned a yellowish color due to the iron in the water. I was afraid was going to have to use another chemical to get the water clear, cause even though its ok... it feels soooo much better and relaxing to swim in a blue clear water. I gave the pump a chance before doing the chemicals and in 3 days its clear as day!!!! Im so impressed. The pump is very powerful!! A must have for any pool. Its going to save you alot of time and money than the pumps that come with pool. Nonleakage so far. Its running amazing!

Buy it!
I have had this pump for 3 years! After using the traditional "Filter" pumps for 10 years! This is the last pump you will ever need. I just add half a bag of schock a week and the pump does all the rest, nmo other chemichals required. Keeps my pool clear all summer long! Love it!

Intex engineering wasn't very well thought out for pools with 1.25" ports
I ordered the 12" Intex sx2100 sand filter pump for my Intex 14' x 42" above ground pool (model 26719EH). I just purchased the pool new, 3 weeks ago, and the filter pump that came with it wasn't doing anything to clean the water. I ordered the sand pump on 5/30 and it said it would be here within 2 days. But I didn't actually receive it until 6/5. It was packaged well and all parts were included and in good condition. The instructions are very difficult to understand because they're written for three different pump models and different sized pools. And then there were loose leaf pages for the hydro aeration jet nozzle that didn't really explain anything except differentiate between your pool fitting of 1.25" or 1.5". And then thats where my issues began. Naturally, buying a new Intex pool and a new Intex sand pump, I thought everything would fit universally. It doesn't. I had already disconnected my old pump yesterday, and was trying to connect this one when I realized there wasn't anything includedv in the packaging to make the hoses fit. So I had to pack it all up and reconnect my old pump. I purchased separate "B" attachments to connect my current 1.25" hoses/ports to the 1.5" hoses that came with the pump. It was $13 for these additional attachments. The Intex brand attachments would have taken another week to arrive, so I purchased them from a different manufacturer next day. Which, had I known ahead of time that not all Intex products fit universally, could have already had them instead of waiting another day. I think a good rule of thumb is, if your pool is 16' and under, you WILL need the additional attachments. The instructions were also mainly geared towards pools with pump valves (ability to turn the water off from the individual ports) and installing to those; again, my pool didn't come with these, only little rubber ports built into the liner. Then that's where my frustration peaked. This pump comes with a very nice jet nozzle that let's you adjust the water direction for the return valve. Problem is, it will only fit with a pool that has a 1.5" threaded bulkhead attached. The only way to use this on other pools, is to cut out a hole in your pool liner and attach it through the hole! I just couldn't bring myself to cut a hole in my new pool and potentially ruin it, so I left my old return valve on and just used a hose attachment to connect the 1.5" hose. However, because of the extra weight of the bigger hose and additional attachment, the return valve was shooting water into the air. So I had to use some 550 cord to help support the weight so that the return valve would be under water like it's supposed to be. Because I spent all last night watching various YouTube videos, I was able to put it all together this evening in under an hour. The equipment itself seems to work as it should. I feel it's pretty good quality. There aren't any leaks or issues that I can see yet. The water pressure coming from the return valve is much stronger than with the filter pump the pool came with. My issues with this purchase come from the seller taking longer to ship it, and from Intex as the manufacturer for not making this more universal with ALL their pools. They should include a threaded attachment either on every pool or as an additional part with this sand pump. Honestly, the engineering wasn't very well thought out. As of now, I'm mostly bummed that my really cool hydro aeration jet nozzle is just going to sit in the garage collecting dust. I really wish I could have used it.

Great improvement
The INTEX 2,100 GPH Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump has been a great upgrade for my pool. It keeps the water crystal clear with much less maintenance than the cartridge filter I used before. The pump is powerful, runs quietly, and the sand filtration does an excellent job of removing dirt and debris. Setup was straightforward, and the timer feature makes daily operation convenient and hassle-free. Build quality feels solid, and it’s been reliable throughout the season.

BEWARE : WORKED GREAT FOR 6 MONTHS THAN DIED! INTEX IS UNREACHABLE BY PHONE FOR THEIR WARRANTY.
We bought this in Jan 2020 when the original intex pump died after 3 months and we installed it and it worked great till June 16 2020 when it just turned off for no reason while my husband was in the pool. We checked everything to see if it was an electric issue caused by something. We couldn't find anything that caused it to turn off. [So we called Assurian as we had bought a 3 yr protection plan for it. They gave us the run around first two times I called and then the 3rd time after asking them to put me through to a manager they put someone on (that did not sound like a manager). She just gave same talking points over and over. I felt sorry for her. But she finally told me the truth unlike the first two girls I spoke with. She said it's a manufacturer warranty for first year they won't do anything first year. So I forced her to stay on phone with me to call Intex as their policy states they will and we waited on the Intex line for over 45 minutes on hold. She finally told me she would refund the $30 plan so I said okay, and let her get off the phone and I remained on the Intex line]. When the Intex hold finally ended, the phone started ringing and ringing with no one picking up. After about 5-10 min of letting it ring I just hung up and looked at the reviews for the Intex pump. I found out people had issue of not getting through by phone or by email as well. I don't know what we are going to do at this point. If we can't get through to Intex and Intex is the only company that makes pumps for their pool, and we can't get the electrical issue fixed on the pump; our pool is going to go green. I don't think I want to sink any more money into Intex.... We are probably around $900+ at this point between 14'x 42" pool and chemicals and replacing the pump and emptying and refilling the pool etc. with no end in sight. If Intex doesn't make quality products that last, I would say THINK TWICE, and know what you're getting yourself into. MANAGE EXPECTIONS... You're pool may not last for a year or more... Is it really worth it? When the pump dies Intex (If they ever pick up the phone lol) would just tell you to ship it to them. Shipping costs more than the pump so what good is that?

pump is great- check the size of the hoses you need first
have been using this for about 6 weeks, and my pool looks great with minimal effort. We pgraded our coleman above ground pool pump to thois one and it has been very worth it. I do recommend getting skimmer also. We also had to cut out liner and due to this not being the exact size needed for out pool but the pump overall was great.

Run don’t walk to check out!
I fill my pool with well water that has a heavy iron content. In the past I have used the filter pump with the cartridge and decided to upgrade, I could not be happier with that choice. After shocking, the water was so brown I couldn’t see the bottom. I thought it would take a week to clear it up. After 12 hrs I could already see a massive difference, left it on over night and the pool water was almost crystal clear. A day and half after filling the pool I was in the water and enjoying a nice cold beverage You will need to purchase some extra hose adapters: Intex 11872 Replacement Dual split Hose Plunger Hose Adapter for Intex B with Collar for 1.5” Hose (if you are buying a salt water system then you can skip this) You also need a backwash hose… I had to back wash 3 times because and it make a huge mess. .

Overall an excellent equipment but unfortunately after 2 weeks the pressure guage has a water droplets and stop working so I couldn't get the exact time to do backwash.
