Dressage Solutions: A Rider's Guide

Excellent dressage book and worth the money!
Excellent book! It does give some clear suggestions for fixing things, mainly with the rider, when movements go wrong. Like it is stated in the review it does not cover everything but does touch on many common problems and errors and suggestions for fixing them. The pictures are very clear and the book is written in a a way that you can flip to a movement that you are having issues with and ride the advice, instead of searching through the entire book.

Excellent reference with wonderful tips to help you become the rider your horse wants. Lovely reference photos to inspire and teach. Clear and concise text promoting classical methods for schooling. This is as good as it gets for the person who aspires to learn the "old school" and the correct school of dressage. NO shortcuts here! Enjoy!!!!

Great training book.
Great training book. Very good guide for dressage riders and trainers. I liked the format and the descriptions for all the movements and the problems. The solutions are there it's a great reference. I have his other book as well. This truly is a training guide. For new dressage riders it explains the aides, the how and why.

A Master Shows the Way
This is an excellent book. It is precise, specific, and clearly written. Kottas addresses fundamentals and offers many patterns to assure receiving the full benefit of a correctly performed movement. I highly recommend this book. As a matter of fact, I am going to purchase his 2010 book--Kottas on Dressage.(ASIN:B008CTJDTK The Accordion]]

Excellent Book.
Excellent book. Content just as the title implies. The greatest and rarest thing (for a dressage book) is that the book is written simply with concise clear language. I love this book!

Not much useful information here.
Very disappointed. Unlike Phillipe Karl's book, Kottas tells you what to do but not HOW to do it. He covers everything from walk, trot, and canter to capriole and corbette. So half of this book has no useful information for the average rider. Three quarters of the book is useless for the advanced rider. I'm sorry I wasted the money on it. I would not recommend it.
