Great form factor while it lasted
I’ve had this light for about 6 months now. It was great while it was working. It’s very bright and the form factor is great. I like having the fuel guage as well. Unfortunately after about 5 months it totally stopped working. I’ve emailed Fenix several times to no avail, my emails get ignored and go unanswered. I’ve given up and written off the $150 or so cost as a lesson learned, don’t buy off brand electronics, stick with the name brands like Sure Fire and Streamlight who stand behind their products when you get a dud.

LCD Data Screen!! Should be mandatory on all flashlights!!
I think the lcd battery life display on this flashlight is so darn cool. I’ve bought and returned many high lumen flashlights that were too complicated to click click click so many time to get to the function you want. This unit is so communicative in that for each of the clearly defined light settings the little but legible lcd screen tells you what setting you are on and how many hours and minutes you’ve got in the tank for the selected setting. On a recent multi-day trip to hotel I had this little torch illuminating the bathroom on setting 1 so as not to have too much of the hotel 120v bathroom lighting pouring out of the bathroom during sleeping hours. I ran this unit for two nites and still had deep battery reserves available at the end of the stay.I must say it does charge slowly but I like the fact that it is so compact and so bright. On the highest power setting if you hover a few inches from your skin on insanely bright mode it is noticeably hot on the skin. And it’s so bright it really almost hurts your eyes to look at.Each night, in full evening darkness, I take the dog for a quick walk and this flashlight has become our travel companion. It’ll give you pleasant light or if needed intense lumens. As much as I wanted to find fault with this unit and return it to keep exploring better options I honestly think there is no chance I’m returning this and moreover I think it’s probably the sweetest flashlight I’ve ever bought.Sure, I’d like for it to have a ludicrous mode and blast 9k lumens for a handful of minutes but at the existing highest power setting it is already intimidatingly bright. I just always want more I suppose but I can’t find almost any fault with this little bright guy.

This sure is one beast of a light
I own many high quality, high output LED flashlights. This one simply blew me away. The build quality is outstanding. This light is built like a tank. Everything about the user interface is top notch and simple to use. The buttons are great, the rubber micro USB protector cover is heavy duty and well thought out/integrated. The back-lit OLED display indicating power lever, battery level, and run-time at various output modes is extremely convenient and useful. The battery power is amazing. It takes a while to reach a full charge, but the overall run time is outstanding. The light power itself is awesome. If you're looking for a slightly bigger heavy duty light, you really can't do better. It's not one of those monster lights that claim 6,10k+ lumens, but it's bright as hell. The beam quality is clean, pure, and excellent, and has very far reach. Run time at the highest setting is about 45 minutes, which is plenty. Much longer run times at the very bright third and fourth highest output setting. I'm honestly surprised this light has not seen much attention on amazon. Perhaps it's the price tag, but I say worth every penny. I mean when you feel this light in your hand, it just oozes quality. Perhaps not an ideal EDC light as it's a bit larger and heavier than some other options. But I keep it in my car at all times. This light has proven itself day in and day out for my purposes. Buy with confidence.

Great Flood Light For The Form Factor
This light is very bright has a good quality beam and color. The OLED display on the top makes it very convenient to know out of the 5 modes you are in and provides the exact run times. The 2 strobe modes is one button away. I like how the light is waterproof and so is the USB port itself (if the flap is not closed).Important things to note:1) Running in Mode 5 (highest brightness), the unit will get pretty hot after 5 min without any air cooling. If you are using it outside with movement, it can sustain for about 10-15min before it is recommended to let it cool.2) If the flashlight gets too hot or low battery, its thermals will reduce the light out and the display will change modes to the lower one. This is an excellent flood light with a good beam distance. If you want something that can go past 350m, you will want to go with another model. To make this light even better, it would be nice if it has QuickCharge or could charge faster. Possibly user replaceable batteries (the good warranty makes up for this).

FENIX is the absolute best
This is my 6th Fenix & this brand is the best. I even have 2 models that are discontinued but both simply work great. It’s amazing to me but the LED screen matches up to the run time. For example, on Level 3 it says 40 hours of power left & it seems to be accurate. If you’re on the fence about buying this light, just do it. You will not regret it. If price is stopping you then get a lower priced Fenix.

Crazy bright light
Took this in a old abandoned gold mine, came out 2 hours later worked great. Has a great distribution of light. Light gets very warm after being on turbo mode for long periods of time. The lock off mode is a great feature.
