FunkoPOP! Movies: Shape of Water - Amphibian (Styles May Vary)

The box for the figure was smashed and torn before shipping. The paint detail has been stripped down so much, that the character is hardly recognizable. It looks to me like they didnt want to pay the Vietnamese Factory workers the extra $0.35 for the proper paint job. Typical Funko cutting corners on quality assurance. Save your money and make your own out of used wet toilet paper, I’m sure it’ll look better than this.

Not only has this pre-ordered been delayed for 3 months, but the product I've received looks terrible and not like the promo picture. For some reason it's black with harsh lines instead of blue with soft gradienceFunko should do a recall and give us the Amphibian Man funko pop we love and wanted.

Very different from advertised photos. Very sad. A lot of black, very little of the lovely blue, and very harsh tan colored parts.

What a huge letdown! After months of delay, Funko finally released this Pop and the result is hideous unlike the promised preview. It pretty much looks like a knock-off item. As you can see in the photos the paint is awful and there are no details. I don’t know how this even got an approval for production. Thankfully Amazon gave me a refund.

I've got mixed emotions. On one hand, it's just a figure - it's still representative of a thing I like and so it's not all bad, but everyone is right about the colors being wrong. The delays also didn't help. Instead of being green and blue, his blue parts are black with some bright blue accents and a little bit of gold peppering, and the rest of him is like bright pastel green. And the box art looks nothing like the figure OR our Charley. I also believe Funko needs to reissue a proper amphibian man....but I'm not gonna return this because if I do, it'll absolutely become a rarity, and you can always make bank on reselling a rarity to a collector down the line.

All the reviews are correct. The paint job is awful but the mold is the same as promised. I repainted him the best I could and now I’m happy.

I've waited months for this POP to be released and am very disappointed in how it looks. As other reviewers have mentioned it looks nothing like the photo. Instead of being blue, it's almost a black, the tan colored sections are much paler, and his lips look as if he is wearing lipstick. I've never seen a POP this far off. It's just sad.

This pop is hideous and looks nothing like the preview image. This is not the Amphibian Man I know and love. I'll be returning this and Elisa because neither of them should be alone.

I pre-ordered this Funko pop back in October. The release date kept getting delayed, but I have finally received it. After all this time waiting, and because this Funko was quite special to me, I am so disappointed that it is nothing like I was expecting it to be, as it looks nothing like the image on Amazon. Instead of the delicate blue, the paint job is horrible; there is a lot of black and where there is blue, the paint work is nothing like it should be. I am considering sending it back for a refund; so if you are considering buying this figure, please do look at pictures of the actual figure, rather than judging by what it looks like on Amazon.

I preordered this a few weeks ago and before I read the other reviews about how the figure differs from the images. It's true that he doesn't have the same colours as shown in the official images (which is why I'm only giving this 4 stars instead of 5) but he's still great in my opinion. He doesn't glow but as I didn't really care about that when I ordered it, I'm happy with this Pop. I have the Elisa Pop too and together, they make a great addition to my Shape of Water collection of film props/memorabilia.

Like others have stated this does NOT glow in the dark and is not painted like the one used for selling the product

Said the item glowed in the dark. It does not. I now have to return it at my own expense back to America so I'm left with no choice but to keep it. EXTREMELY UNHAPPY.

Another case of advertising the GITD edition but sending the normal one. Avoid.
