It met my needs completely. It's a large-sized umbrella to keep the sun out, and it's reasonably well-constructed. It's cheap. I'm satisfied.The pole is sturdy enough for wind. In fact, I had this on a lightweight plastic table, and the stand I got expected to have a heavy table. So wind knocked over the umbrella and table. Nothing broke - pole held up, spokes held up.The crank mechanism works well. I suspect if it's breaking for some, you got a dud or you over-cranked on opening. Just be smart. it cranks open silently, makes clicking noise when cranking down. Pretty straightforward.I feel like the canvas is on the spokes securely, and the stitching on the canvas overall seems good. This was also the larger size umbrella at a smaller-size price when I bought it. I feel like I made out good. I'd totally get another.Things you might care about for which you're gonna have to shell out more money, and even then might not be happy:-While it holds back the rain, it's not waterproof. In a sunshower, I felt mist. Which was actually nice on a hot day. But your electronics/food aren't gonna be protected in a downpour. But you also won't be totally drenched. This is made to keep sun out. It does that.-My Green one got discolored into a light brown/tan. I like both colors. Knowing this, I'd suggest to let the sun get it while it's open, or it will have streaks of discoloration. This is only on the top side. I don't care one bit.

We rented umbrellas for my daughter's wedding but needed a few more and the rental company was out. We ordered 3 white umbrellas and they were plenty nice for the money. I have already lent them to a friend for a baby shower so in theory they paid for themselves in two uses. I plan to keep them in their original packaging and use them only for events.The three umbrellas were shipped in individual boxes that were huge. Each box looked like it could have held 5 or 5 umbrellas, but there was only one in each box. It was the most wasteful packing I have ever seen, but otherwise we got them in a very timely manner.

This is a good build and lasts. The color I chose was beige and it did not lose any color at all in the all-summer direct sun. The crank works well to easily put the umbrella up and I have yet to have any issues with it. Usually, the crank is the first to break but so far, after one summer, it hasn't so...

Yes you can certainly but a better umbrella, but not at this price.I hesitated to purchase but wish I hadn’t. It made it through the summer. We’re pretty bad at remembering to put the umbrella down, so a whole summer was quite a feat. One of the gussets the end of the rib goes into did have the stitching come undone. But this was most likely us just not taking care of it.At the price we got this it was a great deal...even if I have to buy one again in a couple years.

This was actually purchased to shade some plants that were suffering from the extended high heat and strong sun. It is a really nice umbrella, easy to set up, easy to use. I've been putting it up and down the past several days as we've moved closer to our normal weather and the plants aren't needed as much protection. The up/down motion is achieved by a crank attached to a rope. I will have to watch the rope and see how long it lasts in the weather. Would like to have seen a coated wire, but we shall see how long it lasts

This umbrella was as sturdy as I'd hoped it would be and looks wonderful on our patio. Everything seems well put together and the mechanism works flawlessly. I saw this in our local hardware store (or a very similar one) for a higher price and could only smile.We've been using it for over six weeks now and enjoy it as much as the first day.

I was excited to get an umbrella for our patio, however very disappointed a year after it is broken. Definitely taken care of. The top plastic part cracked and now the umbrella doesn't stay on . I was nice but should be a replacement top made easier to fix. Now I am looking for another umbrella to buy.🙄

Perfect! And a very quality easy to use umbrella. Provides lots of shade and the tilt option is awesome. The only problem I had was that it didn’t quite fit through the bottom metal frame of my table but I sawed a slit to accommodate the umbrella pole. I guess I would advise measuring before you buy. But it all worked out in the end. We love it!
