Size is perfect. Mounts flush to durock!
Im giving it 5 stars for everything with one exception...some silicone/glue around the corners is missing. While thinset and tile will cover it, I added my own adhesive in that area to seal it prior to installation. If you measure and cut accurately, this pops right in. Flush to my durock. Product leaves enough room in the back for sheet rock without touching it. Worth the money but a little more fragile than the plastic ones. Lastly, plastic niches are solid and may never breach. This one is glued together. Needed this specific size, so I went with it.

It worked well. We bought a different center shelf. We also coated in red guard. But the niche itself fit perfect.

Used mine horizontally, and worked great
I was a little bit concerned that there was no waterproofing on the front of the adjustable center piece (I should have noticed that in the pics(, so I used mine horizontally without the insert. I'm honestly not sure how comfortable I would have been tiling over just the unprotected foam front of that adjustable piece. It didn't seem right. So, one star less because I don't think it would have been hard for them to waterproof the adjustable center piece better. Anyway, they installed easily, and my shower looks great!

Housables Shower Niche
This Housables shower niche with adjustable middle shelf turned out just beautifully in my new home! The narrow design was the perfect fit between the existing vertical studs in the wall where this was installed. The height and adjustable middle shelf provides ample storage for soaps and shampoos. It was the perfect solution!
