Perfect for stuffing knitted toys. Compresses well but doesnโt lose shape. Very clean and well carded

I love to use this as a base for my needle felting. Of course, it's not pure white but that's okay. I ordered a pound of it, and I did not realize just how much it came with! There's plenty to use in a pound especially if you are just needle felting small to medium.

I was looking for good core wool for my needle felting. I'm spoiled by the wool batting that I bought several years ago and just used up. It was just perfect...felted like a dream. So when this arrived I was eager to try it, hoping it was similar. It's not. It is very soft indeed, and very clean in terms of organic debris. That said it felts very differently than I'm used to, but that is not necessarily a bad thing, just something to get used to. It tried several different needles and found my 4-needle holder didn't work well, but using 2 needles did. So it works out well enough in the end, but I will continue my search for what I like the most. UPDATE: I have worked with this enough now to update my review. As a core wool for needle felting, I would not recommend. It is nice as a stuffing material. But for needle-felting it takes forever to become firm and winds up a bit lumpy, so for my purpose it is not particularly useful.
