Love the quilt but the color is not like the picture on the site

If this is the look you're going for, then 5 stars for visual appeal. It's actually really nice. The weight is that of a heavy sheet, or very light blanket. I wanted it as a summer bedspread for an AirBnB, and it's great and matches the decor vibe of the place for sure.I'm well aware that this is hand stitched, and yet I wish there was a bit more quality control. There are a lot of loose threads, and my concern is that this is pretty delicate, and that they will come loose in the wash as time progresses. Because it's in an AirBnB, it has to be laundered after every use. Cold wash- gentle cycle, of course.Just FYI, it's just the right size for a queen bed, with the exception of the length, which is really long. You can, of course, make a big fold up top to compensate for that, but just mentioning it because otherwise it will be on the floor, and nobody wants their bedding touching the floor.

I just unpacked this, "Sophia Art Queen Size Hand Block Print Kantha Quilt." It is beautiful.The measurements are 90x106 inches when stretched at the widest (86 x 104 at the shortest). I am only a little sad about that, as the placement I have it in really would benefit from a full 108 inches. (However, as they note in the smaller print description, it is 220 x 270 centimeters (86x106 inches) newly made size). I should note that the wide, pattern-free blue border you see in their pictures is about 3 inches wide on only ONE side of mine.The Kantha Quilt is thicker than the common block print cotton throws. The color and design of the print on mine is the same as pictured. The back side of mine is lighter blue than the front blue, with the striped fabric running through (as seen in the photo where they show a reddish back when turned over). Also, the colors of the running stitches in mine are only blue and white, where in their photo they are white, red, and orange. As noted, it has some imperfections. Mostly on the unprinted blue underside.It arrived 1-3 weeks BEFORE the quoted date: arriving 1/30 instead of 2/5 - 2/27; I ordered it on 1/13.On arrival and unpacking there was the scent of the fabric and dyes. This airs out quickly.I did a quick test of the colors and they did not transfer to absorbent wet material. Still, I will only wash delicate and cold or by hand!I will happily buy more of the other designs.

Blankets are beautiful. Great quality. I received the wrong item and the seller was very gracious and promptly refunded me.

I love this blanket, we use it as a bedspread and it has held up surprising well to our 2 dogs and their claws who sleep at the bottom of the bed. Doesnt show dog hair or dirt easily and goes through the washer and dryer without problems.I was a little bit surprised at home thin it was when I first got it though. It does not have layers like a traditional quilt and is essentially one layer with intricate stitching. I still like it but maybe would like it a bit better if the one layer was thicker.

It's a lovely quilt; however, it is not as pictured. It is a muted or dulled orange quilt without distinct white stripes in the pattern that I needed to fit into my decor. It has a variation of muted orange colors--again none of them are bright and cheery looking. Some of the threads in the quilting are white, but you only notice them on close inspection.

Beautiful colors and quality. However, while unpacking it, I got blue dye on my hands and I was nervous about future stains, but this has not occurred since. Also, keep in mind that this is a very thin quilt, no padding, so if you are putting this on your bed you will probably need to put it on top of another blanket/comforter or keep an extra folded at the end of the bed (depending on the type of climate you live in). Overall, I am happy with this purchase, especially for the price.

My only complaint about this quilt is that in the merchant picture it clearly shows that there is yellow or gold in the pattern which I thought made it particularly beautiful. The quilt I received had no yellow or gold in the pattern which was disappointing to me, and I deducted a star for that. Otherwise, the stitching is good and straight, and it is well made. Thank you for this beautiful (but slightly disappointing) quilt.
