Gulfstream TropicalAGU00401 Mag-Float Replacement Scraper Aquarium Cleaner

We have a 120 with a starfire front that we use these to clean. Our cleaner works great on the sides but is a little weak for the front. The blades still clean algae though which is why we bought them. Don't let the algae get too thick or else you'll be manually scraping. They seem to last a while too. I'm only on my first replacement and have been using the cleaner for 3-4 months now.

I don't even want to give one star. The material is very bad

The blades on these are really, really thin. This causes two problems. One, because they are so thin, they actually can scratch way more readily than a standard razor blade. Secondly, they bend easily -- even when working on the relatively flat surface of the aquarium, a bit of coraline or such will cause them to bend. Once they've bent, no matter how little, they /will scratch your tank/. I generally get 3-4 uses out of them before I have to throw them away and replace them (though I'm using them on multiple tanks and transporting between). Inspect the blade carefully before each use.

This is hands down one of the best things I've bought for my tank! I was hating my Mag-Float cause it wasn't getting everything. I decided to get this to see if it would help and it did an amazing job. I was very skeptical as my tank is a bow front. Wasn't sure how it would handle the curved glass. Well it did just fine. If you get the Mag-Float, this is a needed purchase to go with it.

I love this product, I have used the scraper and blades for a few years, and there's just nothing like a razor to really clean the tank glass. My only complaint is they are kind of hard to get on and off, but I have to do it so seldom that it's not worth dinging stars.

Makes scraping your tank glass so easy, expecially when used with the AGU00401 scraper blades. I used to find it a chore to scrape glass on my 2 125g saltwater reef aquariums. Especially where there was a hard coraline build up. The blade takes it right up and scraping flass with a razer blade is a thing of the past and being soaked to the shoulder only happens when moving coral around.

Easy to replace the old one. I have salt water fish tank and because of this product, it is so easy to clean the tank. My 4 years old son helps me to clean because it is just fun for him.

Goodbye green spot algae, I do not miss you. Worked like a charm, a must have for a magnetic tank cleaner. The green spot just scraped right off with only one pass, no annoying scrubbing, and watching the algae float away after is extremely rewarding!
