A bit dated
Pros: a somewhat decent overview of scent extraction and use. I learnt a few things.Cons: what era was this written in? There's no publication date, page numbers, or anything about the publisher. The language is obscure, referring to 'perfumes for the handkerchief', using hundred weights as a measurement, and at one point suggesting using asbestos to soak up a scent. The use of quotation marks left me confused, until I realised it meant ditto, but the lack of commas and bullet points makes deciphering some of the recipes a codebreaker's game. Also, some characters didn't translate, marked as _ .Overall, it's legible but badly edited, dated, but with a lot of content that's still relevant, although please don't follow the advice about asbestos.
