Inverter
Bought this to use in our caravan when 240v isn't available, on a recent trip to the south west we stayed overnight at Gloucester services, no 240v so we tried the inverter for the first time. So we actually powered our TV for seven and a half hours charged two phones and had internal lights on at the same time, so the inverter gave an audible alarm telling us that the incoming voltage had dropped off to 10.5V . So the following morning due to solar charging and good weather our leasure battery was back up to 13V, so for us this is a game changer we've only used it once but would recommend it to anyone.

seems to work well
I ordered this to use primarily for running my powertool 240v battery chargers from the lighter socket of my van. There is little more inconvenient than running out of charged batteries while not having access to mains voltage when on a job, so I figured that getting an inverter would be a solution to this problem. For the most part it seems to be working well so far. My 18v charger requires 240W of power to operate so this inverter is plenty powerful enough to run several at the same time. At 1500W it has enough oomph to power several of my corded powertools so I can use sanders and small circular saws with it although I have to be careful to keep an eye on heat build up and melting cables (which hasn't happened). The unit does get a bit warm and the internal fan switches on and off to cool things down. The time taken to charge a battery seems the same as when you plug into the mains so presumably the power output is the same with both. The unit itself is made from red aluminium so it certainly looks the part. It is quite compact at 270mm x 100mm x 60mm and surprisingly light . The simple controls on the case is a single on/off rocker switch on the front of the case; there are 2 240v socketsand four USB A ones along with a couple of cigarette lighter ones. Its powered by connecting the input terminals toa bttery via the crocodile clips and wires or cigarette lighter adaptor both of which are supplied. At around £40 the unit is on par with the general spread of prices for comparable inverters; this is my first experience with one so I cannot say how it might compare to similar devices but for my occasional use purposes it seems pretty good so far.

Handy to have, decent price (probably not 1500W)
For under £40 this is a handy item to have in the van or camper. It comes, of course, with a couple of 12V connection options - the accessory / lighter plug and a couple of croc clips. I'd strongly recommend avoiding both and connecting it directly (with an inline fuse) to the car's wiring. A quick mention of the claimed 1500w capacity, as we're talking about fuses: 1500W at 12V is 120A which is a) unfeasible and b) would require much heftier connecting cables than those supplied! I'd suggest putting a 30A inline fuse and/or upgrading the connecting cables. 30A at 12V is 360W which is possibly a more realistic rating over at the other end. Bear in mind, too, that a 30A draw on your battery is going to drain it quite quickly. OK - back to the functionality... The unit has an on/off switch (surprisingly rare, so welcome!), two 240V sockets and four USB-A sockets. This is definitely enough to be charging a couple of phones and powering a TV. For less than £40, as long as you have realistic expectations of what you can drive from it, this is a good option.

Faulty
Used it for 10 minutes and the lighter plug end had fallen out and the wire inside came detached and then caused it to start smoking

I'm Really Impressed With This Inverter.
I’m extremely impressed with this 1500W car power inverter. It’s compact and well built with a strong and sturdy aluminum body which is perfect for travel and camping or for just having a power supply in your van. The LED display is clear and helpful which shows voltage and power usage at a glance. I love that it has 2 UK 3 pin sockets and 4 USB ports it easily powers multiple devices at once without any issues. Setup is straightforward and the 8 tier safety protection gives real peace of mind. I’ve used it on long road trips to job sites and it has handled powering laptops, small appliances, and chargers effortlessly. It's reliable, efficient, and great value for money. Highly recommended for anyone needing portable power on the go.

compact power, quiet performance, total peace of mind.
The Luqixcey 1500W Inverter feels like one of those gadgets that just makes sense to have around — whether for camping, road trips, or even as a backup power source at home. It’s compact but surprisingly powerful, easily handling the essentials like a laptop, small fridge, or lighting setup. The design is very practical. The aluminum body feels tough and well-made, and the bright red finish makes it easy to spot among all the usual travel gear. The LED display is clear and really useful — I like being able to see both input and output voltages at a glance. The cooling fan is quiet but efficient; it kicks in automatically when things heat up, so there’s no need to babysit it. There’s a generous mix of ports — four USBs, two UK sockets, and two cigarette lighter sockets — so everything from phones to cameras can be plugged in at once. It’s perfect for anyone who travels with a mix of gear. The 8-tier protection system is another highlight — short-circuit and over-temperature protection are reassuring when running sensitive electronics off a car battery. Setup couldn’t be simpler either. Just clip it to the battery, switch it on, and it’s ready. Overall, it’s a solid, travel-friendly inverter that balances reliability, power, and ease of use perfectly.
