Great case for the money
It appears to be a very well-made, sturdy case. My Taylor Mini fits perfectly, snug with lots of padding all around. Bought it to take on airplanes as we travel through Europe for a couple months. Haven’t made the trip yet so we’ll see how it goes.UPDATE 11/04/2024 - After taking this case on a two month trek around Europe and on just about every form of transport (numerous airlines - as checked baggage, trains, automobiles) I have to say I am very impressed with this case. It kept my Taylor Mini in perfect condition. The case itself has some scrapes and scratches as one would expect but the shell, handle, hinges and clamps are intact and working just fine. Very happy with this purchase and can confidently recommend this product.

Fits my GS Mini like a glove.
This case is built well. Hinges and clasps are heavy-duty. The inside is luxurious and holds the guitar with a snug fit. For the extra money, this thing is awesome.A word about the vendor, though. This was sold by a third-party vendor, and I have never seen an item take so damn long to get to me. Even in transit via FedEx, I had a picture of some vagrant walking it from state to state, the case on his back, getting paid by the mile. It was IN STOCK. It took them THREE days to get it to FedEx. Then it took an additional FIVE days for FedEx to get it to me. Come on, man. Do better.

The Perfect Guitar Case For My GS Mini
Perfect guitar case for the Taylor GS Mini. I live in Phoenix Arizona and it is dry and hot here! In fact, it's 111 here today. You need a humidifier here for your Taylor and although the case it comes with is stylish and somewhat sturdy for normal conditions and car travel it didn't fit my needs for absolute protection. With my Taylor travel case I had about 33 to 37% humidity. WIth the SKB I have between 44 to 48% humidity..the weather has something to due with the fluctuation as we do have monsoon here but it's obvious the SKB retains much more humidity. I've used all kinds of different humidifiers and they're all about the same although I prefer sponge based ones and when they wear out I just buy another seeing as that their like 9bucks..As far as protecting the guitar? Perfect! Nothing could be better..I take this to Chicago and just sling it up in the over head..it fits perfect (it is a GS Mini perfect for travel) People see the guitar and I'm like "just cram your s*** around it ..it'll be fine" . Don't ever check your guitar as luggage no matter what kind of case you use..chances are with the SKB it would be fine but those luggage handlers down there are maniacs!

Possibly the best GSMini case ever made....
First of all, I would like to say that SKB has top notch customer service. The first case I received had a misaligned hinge that kept the case from shutting without extra pressure. When I contacted them they sent a replacement out right away with a return shipping label for the old case. I understand that things happen and sometimes get missed in production. What is important is that they fixed the situation without question or hassle! That goes a long way in my book!Ok...about the case itself. This case is absolutely perfect! My GSmini fits nice and snug inside, it looks amazing, and it is very lightweight. I originally purchased this case because I had trouble keeping humidity in check inside the gig bag. This case made it much easier for my humidifiers to keep up because it is sealed so well. I had planned on traveling with the smaller gigbag that it came with but after seeing how small the case is and how well it protects my guitar I ditched the bag completely. Don't hesitate to buy! You won't be disappointed! I also own an SKB for my PRS and I am equally as happy with that one! Great company!

Tough enough
There are plenty of great reviews on this case for the Taylor GS Mini, but I thought I'd just add a few photos to help tell the story. I bought the hard case a few months ago on Amazon and got it in quickly in good condition. The Mini comes new with a very nice, but somewhat breathable nylon case, and, so, like many others who reviewed this hardcase, I wanted additional protection from fluctuating humidity and this case does a good job of that. Also, I think it would be quite durable in protecting it in most transport situations. You'll see a USA Quarter coin for scale (about 1 inch or 24 mm in diameter) in some of my photos just to show you that the padding around the guitar body is fairly thick and custom-built for the Mini, and that the clasps do stick out a bit. The outer dimensions of this case are a little bigger than the Mini, so I figure this same hard outer shell may be used for other small guitars, but the molded interior padding is definitely custom shaped to the GS Mini -- all that said to just let you know that this case is probably NOT going to fit any other guitar well besides the Taylor GS Mini. You'll see from the photos the fit is good, but I'll also note that my higher-end Taylor came with an original case that fits that guitar very tightly, (as in, you have to work a little to get the guitar out). This case fits the GS Mini nice and snug but it’s easy to remove from the case (not a bad thing, but just a fact). The case I received has a slight gap in the metal band that forms the closure (it shows up in the photo near the handle) but I decided it was not bad enough to return it and it has done fine. Also, the clasps that keep it closed stick out a bit as shown in the photos. The last thing I’ll note is that this case is not like the standard cases that come with many expensive guitars that are constructed of some kind of soft vinyl or leather-like material stretched over a thin piece of wood. It is more like the cases for band instruments that school bands have for trumpets, clarinets, etc, and, just for nostalgia buffs, it reminds me very much of the case for my ancient Smith-Corona Typewriter from the 1960’s. Again, not a bad thing, but just info for thought. Overall impression – I think this case will hold up quite well under almost any circumstance that a guitar should reasonably be exposed to. I wouldn’t be terribly concerned with checking this for an airline flight.

Great case, and it CAN take a strap!
Very good case, perfect for the GS mini. Well made, good locks and very sturdy, solid. I noted reviews saying you couldn't get the guitar into the case with the strap on... that's a pain for a performing musician, since many of them have strap locks fitted and taking the strap on and off is not something they like doing... the strap is almost part of the guitar. I noticed that you can create more space inside by taking of the flap that sits just under the start of the neck, that give extra space so if you neatly fold the strap along the side of the guitar you can sit the excess into the space you've made by taking the flap away.. so you CAN actually get the guitar in with the strap on!.. Having said all this, the soft case that's supplied with the original GS is still very good in it's own right so I'm not sure I needed this hard case.. I bought it on a whim. However for those who have to regularly travel and may have to pack it away it's absolutely perfect!
