I looked a quite a few of the French Presses and this was the best deal for the money. It's very sturdy and comes with and extra screen but haven't needed it yet, though I have only been making it for a couple months now. Word to the wise, go easy on the amount of large grind you use. The conversion they use for how much coffee to add is very strong and gave me a painful stomach for 3 days it was so strong! I just use 2 rounded scoops and it's the perfect cup for me! Highly recommend as it was a great price for a quality product I plan on using for years to come!

Good, serviceable, press. It has ml markings om the beaker, which is pretty handy.So far (a couple of months), no problems.We've had a variety of presses over time; we have two at the moment. Others have ended up with cracked or shattered beakers (these things don't drop so well). We've at the point where the exact brand doesn't matter that much; we shop by price and reviews. You shouldn't spend time worrying about the differences.

It is bigger than I thought. I think it can brew about 30 OZ coffee each time. The highest mark reads 800ml (i.e., 27 OZ) but you can go higher than that.The three filters work well -- I put in Hannaford ground coffee (which looks more like medium grind rather than the recommended coarse grind), and there is still NO coffee grounds leaking into my coffee! The filters are easy to take off for a wash. As a minor point, I also like that the plunger does not go all the way to the bottom, coz that prevents me from accidentally stirring up the grounds.

Love this size, weight and construction for RV or camping. Makes 2 large mugs or 3-4 standard size mugs of coffee. I haven't had it for long, but it is made of the same materials that my prior unbreakable (plastic) coffee press was, so I am sure that it will last as long (almost two years of almost daily use). (My prior press, of similar construction, was smaller - made only one mug of coffee - and cost 1/3 more).

I purchased this coffee maker a few weeks ago and mainly for making tea for everyday, sometimes for coffee. No matter what, I have to say this coffee/tea maker is very easy to use and has an excellent quality. The strainer works great at straining out the grinds without any residue. I am enjoying of use it everyday and for such a good price, it is a good buy!

I use this guy on Saturday and Sunday mornings and it makes about two big cups of coffee. It says to use a course ground but I like the taste better with a more fine ground. I definitely recommend this product, I am so happy I bought it!

I liked the fact that the glass seems to be rugged and it seems the base is strong. However, the top is not as well built and even flimsy. Also, it clogged easily after using only a short time. It did come with an extra screen so that helps.
